We've been loyal customers for almost two years, and this place used to be one of my go-to spots for pizza. I’ve always tried to support small, local businesses, so it genuinely saddens me to write this.
Today’s experience left me disappointed. After placing and paying for my order, I kindly asked the cashier if someone could bring it out to my car once it was ready. His response was a firm, "We can't do that." My baby was going through a growth spurt and wouldn’t settle unless he was with me — any parent knows how hard those moments can be.
Eventually, I had to bring him inside with me. As I was walking in with my baby in my arms, another employee saw me struggling and asked if I needed help. I said yes, and I appreciated that gesture. But I was also confused because I had just been told they couldn't offer that kind of assistance.
It may seem like a small thing, but in that moment, a bit of empathy and flexibility would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, this experience made me feel like customer care wasn’t a priority.
For me, one bad experience can be enough to change where I choose to spend my money — especially when it comes to how people are treated.
I’d love to see this business succeed — just not at the cost of care...
Read moreThey have a cheese blend that is phenomenal it is one of the best tasting pizzas around easily tied for one of my favorite pizzas. Like any place service can be hit and miss never a problem with food but a couple of time counter help act like was an imposition that was there but these occurrences are few and far between. Talked to owner on one visit was friendly and personable. Atmosphere is nothing spectacular but the food more than makes up for lack of ambiance. But let's be real you don't go for the decor you go for the food. With that said they have tables out side you can eat at and everytime i have done that it has been a pleasnt exoerince to people watch, and once watch some horseriders ride up for some pizzas. My only real complaint is they are closed on Mondays and subconsciously that seems to be the day I want their pizza more often than not, though pretty much everything in downtown desoto is closed Monday so makes sense for them to be closed as well. So more of a gratification delayed complaint rather than a true complaint against the restraunt. Great pizza, great tast highly...
Read moreI love trying out small pizza shops while traveling for my job. When I happened into De Soto and KJ's popped up with 4.8stars I had to see what the fuss was about!
Cheese lovers will celebrate as this pizza is on the cheese heavy side. But not overly so. If you prefer a more balanced approach go ahead and get a little extra sauce (what I did). Or perhaps go light on the cheese. Either way you'll be fully satisfied!
I got chicken and jalapeno. Both toppings were fresh. Chicken had no chewy grit and peppers were full of heat.
The crust was absolutely the best part of my experience. Wood oven style. Left nothing to be desired.
The two gentleman working were friendly and relaxed in nature.
Keep the oven stoked boys,...
