Our experience at this particular bar was, to say the least, unacceptable. The service we retained was devastatingly below par. Now for reference, please allow me to go in depth. The day of our first visit was slightly better than our second visit. We ordered breakfast after a very confusing deboggle on where the wait-staff wanted us to sit. As we sat down, the service was very basic. While not terrible, the hospitality was flat. There was no customer to staff interaction besides the bare necessities. As our food came, we were aghast. The biscuits and gravy were sweet, the biscuit itself being under-cooked. Now, I suppose it may have fallen on us, as we didn't draw attention to the preparation of the meal. However, it was plain to see that the meal was not being eaten. When we left the establishment, we left a very meager tip. Personally, I've always tipped generously, but this left me no choice. Without choice, as we're minors we do not have access to a vehicle, and had no option rather to return to the restaurant. Upon seeing the previous waitress from the day before, we grimaced. Before we were even given our menus, the waitress jumped me with an aggressive approach, asking about our service from the prior day. For the record, when I say aggressive, I meant loudly and full-fledged angerly. This instantly set a bad mood for the rest of the meal. When the food actually came, the proportions were off and I had been denied a pancake which I had payed for. She then takes the opportunity to badger my friend that if the food is not good enough, she must speak up about it. This was also said in an aggressive manner. When she believed we weren't looking, I visually saw her bickering and pointing at our table with another wait-staff. Now, as someone who has years of customer service on under their belt, this is a gigantic no-no. I would never recommend this establishment, and you can not expect my patronage in the future. (( The lodge was phenominal however, I absolutely adored Jimbo passion for what he did. The hotel staff were amazing people, and THEY can expect a quick...
Read moreI’ve never left an online review even with a bad experience, but I felt compelled to do so because this was the worst dining experience of my life. From the time we sat down until we were finally able to leave it was almost comically bad. Took over 10 minutes to even get waters to start and then it only went downhill. When we finally ordered drinks I was given a warm mojito. Our appetizer was the Brie cheese plate and it was the only thing positive about our entire experience. As for entrees I got the steak Mac and cheese and my wife got the Rueben with loaded mashed potatoes. Not one thing came out even lukewarm, so much so that my wife’s loaded mashed potatoes still had cold cheese on top that had no chance of melting on the cold potatoes. My steak was dry med well after being asked a temperature and requesting med rare. My wife’s Reuben was soggy on the bottom and hard on the top indicating that it had sat for awhile before it came to her. Didn’t want to be a pain because I am a server and don’t like to be that guy because mistakes happen so all I asked for was new steak and hot potatoes and we could deal with the rest. 20 minutes later got more dry med well steak and another batch of cold potatoes. Asked to speak to a manager and told her about the problems and how we couldn’t eat our cold food and still had to pay for my wife’s stale cold Reuben and up charge for cold cheese on top of the cold potatoes. Then waited another 20 minutes so I could pay for the nightmare and finally leave so we could go home and eat a hot dinner. I try not to get too upset because this is what I do for a living and everyone has off nights, but this was almost...
Read moreWas very promptly greeted and seated by host, our server Mailene was very unprofessional and unaware, we waited 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken, one of us ordered hot tea, and was not provided a spoon, honey, or lemons, or any extra hot water for a refill, she then took our food order and returned with soup and salads and promptly left them without saying anything or giving an opportunity to ask for anything, with all waters being empty and 2 of the other beverages, when she brought food out I asked for ranch and she returned with blue cheese and left before I could say anything, when she came back (after over half our meal was gone) I asked again for ranch and she became very rude, she brought ranch and refills back and left the table again, seeming to be ignoring us, she didn't return until she brought our check and when a box was asked for as she was trying to run off again, a sturn ok was returned. She checked us out and brought our check back. All around, not a very great experience due to service, otherwise the food was wonderful. On a 100 something dollar check I would usually tip between 35 and 50%, this kind of service deserves maybe 10%.... Usually service isn't a problem, and I'll give leanincy, but all around it was...
