Horseshoe Restaurant — Restaurant in Deadwood

We had a group of 6 people. One person never even got his food. Four of the four steaks that were ordered were over cooked. Waiter did not come back to even check to see how everything was. She did not come back to see if we needed anymore drinks. We asked for the manager, but he said that there was nothing that he could do because his manager said they could not comp anyone. The host asked how everything was and we told him that it was not good. His response was "sometimes that happens ". Very unsatisfied with the way this was handled. If your willing to gamble in Deadwood this is the place to eat. Update.. One of the customers did not eat his New york strip as it was over cooked and leathery. Another costomer had well over 3/4 of his prime rib that was way over cooked. One of the customers ordered a wrap and it came with mashed potatoes and gravy. He asked for french fries. The reason why nothing was said is that nobody came to check on us. Where we supposed to sit there for a half an hour for them to check on us. Then reorder or food and wait another 45min to see if they got it right?? Several of us were very hungry and had to eat something. I guarantee that there was no foul and inappropriate language directed at any of the staff. The manager was not there and could not be reached at the time. The only thing that I had said to the waiter was could I speak to the manager then she went and got someone else. He said there was nothing that he could do. Took 10 minutes for us to even get noticed by a hostess to get a table. Waitress came right away when we sat down and didn't ask what we wanted to drink or if we were ready to order, but said "what do you want to eat?" We ordered our drinks, but said we needed time to look at the menu. Was disappointed in their limited menu during Days of 76 and Sturgis. My husband tried ordering an omlet as it was listed on their limited menu and had a picture, but our waitress said thats not an option and that scrambled eggs are the only option. Both me and my husband's breakfast plate had more potatoes as a side dish then the actual main dish. Waitress never came back once to check on us. Not to even give us the check. We waited for over 15 minutes after someone came and took our plates away and never got it so we went up to the counter and asked the hostess/cashier. After what felt like a very long time, only three other tables in the restaurant, our order was taken. Never was asked if we wanted something to drink for the time we were waiting before and after our food order, so we just drank the water. I had to ask twice for a straw due to the waitress carring my water by the top, where I would put my mouth to drink out of it. Food took quite awhile for not being busy. When my hot beef came out, it was cold beef. We waited about 10 minutes after eating, waitress walked by us three times without taking our plates, I needed a box, I had to get one myself from the host station. The food was cold, service slow, and the atmosphere was horrible. We were sat right in the middle at the smallest table, there were so mamy tables open that were not in the middle of everyone.
