We loved looking around at all the great movie memorabilia. They have a cute little corner gift shop, with some original gifts. They play an old movie on large screens wile you eat. The atmosphere is fun and there is a lot to look at. We had been looking forward to trying this place for a while, but every time we tried to go it was packed with a long wait that we weren't willing or able to wait. We finally got here at a decent time, only had a 10 minute wait for three people. We looked through the menu and finally settled on the specialty, was a Teenage Monster Pizza, better known as a cheeseburger pizza with pickles on top. And we were excited, unfortunately that came crashing down when we took our first look at the pizza. At first glance we were skeptical, because there wasn't a lot of meat or cheese, did have a lot of pickles and a lot of lettuce, only a few tomatoes and onions. Then we took a bite, we knew we really didn't like it. It had a funny peculiar flavor in the topping of the pizza, but the crust was bland, and the lettuce was cut in chunks, instead of shredded, which made it taste like you were eating lettuce pizza. There was hardly any hamburger or cheese. I must say the waiter was very sweet and patient with us, because we didn't know what we wanted, and took longer to decide but they were very busy and they didn't spend very much time at any table. I was surprised that he did not give any helpful suggestions even after we told him it was our first time . When my daughter went up to pay, they of course asked, how was your pizza she answered telling him that we did we like it, she explained that it was the first time we had been there, they looked at each other in shock and disbeleif! They asked which pizza we had and when my daughter told them they said, oh well that's an acquired taste. I saw that they have many other choices here, I personally do not recommend just the one pizza choice, the was a teenage monster Pizza it's an acquired taste, and let me just say I love a good cheeseburger pizza with pickles, this was not the first time I had a cheeseburger pizza. I'm told that their pepperoni is really good and cheesy and their grinders looked really delicious. And they have lots of fun drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic! I really wanted to love the food here. Let me finish off by saying that a lot of people love this place. It is always busy, and I have heard so many good things about their menu items. So don't let this pizza deter you from trying, I just don't recommend , I was a teenage...
Read moreMy wife and I had heard great things about Famous Monster Pizza, so when we found ourselves in Decatur the other night, we stopped in. And I'm glad that we did! The moment we entered, we were greeted by a barrage of classic and recent horror and sci-fi memorabilia. It was very evident that the owner had amassed over 50 years of collecting. We had been told that the line of customers can stretch out of the door and down the sidewalk. We went on a Wednesday night with no wait and two other tables occupied. We had Kaitlin as our server. We let her know that this was our first visit. She was extremely friendly and very helpful. After giving us a few minutes, we were ready to order. My wife and I started with the Famous Garlic Cheese Bread along with the Garlic Butter dip. When it arrived, the look and smell made us want to jump right in. The crust was baked perfectly with just the right amount of garlic butter, keeping the bread soft and not soggy. You could tell that they placed the cheese with care, as opposed to throwing it on and having it run down and burn. I tried the Garlic Butter dipping sauce but found it to be thick while drowning out the cheese bread. My wife decided to use this during her entree. Many menu items have been named after classic monsters. My wife ordered the Imhotep Sausage Roll. Again, the crust was crisp and baked perfectly. When you would take a bite, it didn't feel as though you had a mouthful of dough. My wife prefers American sausage over Italian but the spice was not enough to make her stop. She ordered this with Marinara sauce and used the Garlic Butter sauce as well. With this being a pizza restaurant, I opted for the Frankenstein Pizza. This was made up of a little bit of everything like its namesake and with fresh ingredients, you can't go wrong. Let me start by saying that the cheese pull was just how you want it. What I found most enjoyable were the independent flavors. You could taste every green pepper, mushroom, onion, etc. I asked Kaitlin which Monster pizzas were the most popular. These were her top three in order; Frankenstein (supreme), Wolfman (meat lovers), and Dracula (extra sauce, extra cheese). All in all, I would have to say that you can't go wrong with any of the menu items. We look forward to...

I wanted to come here since they opened. We finally had a time that our schedules aligned and we could come in. When we arrived, we had a short wait, no big deal. Got rushed through ordering. Still wasn't upset, figured that they were trying to make sure service was fast.
We quickly got our appetizer and were told there were no clean forks and some should be our shortly. 45 minutes later, our waitress brought out our food and some forks. The pizza was completely wrong and not what we ordered. When I asked them to remake it, they told me it would take awhile and that she'd be back shortly. Me and my significant other agreed that we wouldn't eat it. After 10-15 minutes, she came back to take the table next to us's order. That's when we got her attention and, again, said that we did not want the pizza they gave us. She said it would take awhile and we told her that's fine. We understand and asked if we could get some cheese bread and more drinks.
15 minutes later, she came back and asked us if we wanted her to put the order in because the pizza we initially ordered would take an hour now because the kitchen is backed up.
We watched another table leave early bc their food was taking too long.
Eventually we got our pizza (which didn't have enough toppings for what they charge and was missing some we asked for) and a half off discount on the pizza. The food we ordered an hour before wasn't on the bill nor did we get it, so I doubt it was even put in.
Again, I was so excited to try this place and drove from multiple towns over. Me and my boyfriend were pumped and have been following them on social media and trying to find time to come in. After tonight, I would not recommend...
