McDonald's — Restaurant in Decatur

Easy on and off from I-65. When we arrived I was total chaos. People saying they had been waiting for over 45 minutes for their food. Urging customers coming in to leave and go somewhere else. There was a girl in the lobby filling up the lids and straws. People in the back where yelling her name to come back and help on the line. She was yelling back "what?!" We waited about 30 minutes for two 4 piece chicken mcnugget happy meals and 2 McChicken Sandwiches. Every table in the lobby was dirty. We ended up wiping a table to sit down. There was nobody was running the cash registers but there were 4 kiosks open. A man came in and refused to use the kiosk. He stood at the counter and yelled three times "is anyone around here working the register?" One of the girls left the line to take his order for 2 senior coffees. One of the managers was on her cell phone as she was packing orders yelling at I'm guessing a child employee. "I called you back. Oh you didn't call me? Then how did I get your missed call on my phone? Oh you're having car trouble? It sounds like you need to let your parents deal with that. They need to bring you to work. We have had this conversation time and time again. I'm still at work covering YOUR shift because guess what you're not here! I've been here since 5:30am. So hurry up and get here!" Then she hung up. The other employees were asking who it was and the manager was talking about him to her other employees. How unprofessional. Times are hard with employees right now, talking poorly to them and then about them to your other staff is not how you become a leader. When we finally got our food it was Luke warm and the nuggets were old. I did ask them to remake fresh which they did without any problem. Kiosk said they were out of coke, however they were not. The lady taking our order was quite nice and the food was good. But our experience was marred due to the other workers. There was one worker, female with blonde hair pulled up into a messy bun, that caused such a commotion. My husband had went into the restroom while I walked up to the counter to place our order, so the worker with her hair pulled up had no idea he and I were together, he immediately came back out of the restroom and told the young lady taking our order that the men’s room was in need of cleaning because there was s*it all over the toilet, floor and wall. Upon hearing this the lady walked over to the other workers and asked for someone to go clean the men’s room. That’s when the “hair bun” lady started yelling “I just cleaned men’s bathroom so I KNOW it’s not dirty!” I started to say something then but I waited until she returned from checking it. She came back out and said “well it is dirty after all”. She then very loudly told the other workers “I have cleaned it three times today. I’m NOT doing it again!” I walked off at that point because the lady taking our order was nice enough to tell us there was another bathroom on the other side of the wall (clean). Upon walking over to the seating area the floors were notably unclean. Not only was there trash on the tables but the floors were so greasy that we had to be careful not to fall down! I pulled up to order and waited several minutes before anyone spoke to me. When I ordered, they asked to repeat myself, didn't use the screen to confirm my order, then told me to pull around. The first window wasn't open, so I asked if they got my order (a plain double quarter meal) correct as soon as I got to the second window. Of course, they had it wrong. They pulled me to the second pull up space because they already had someone else in the first spot. My receipt read that I paid at 9:26 pm. At 9:46, I had still not received my food, so I went inside. My bag was sitting under the warmer for twenty minutes. And then, I had to remind them I was supposed to get a sweet tea. I didn't check my order inside because I thought it would seem rude, but now, I wish I had just been rude. It looked plain when I checked it in my car, but when I got it home, I discovered onions and ketchup remnants where the person cooking had just scraped the stuff off the top and replaced the top bun. This is the second time the same girl has done that to my order, so it's a good thing I don't have an allergy. So, in summary, I waited 20 minutes for something that took them 2 seconds to half ass and still didn't end up with an edible product. The last time this happened, I reported it to corporate and got an insincere letter of apology, so maybe posting this review publicly will get them to actually do something about the incredible lack of quality...
