Port Royal Gastropub — Restaurant in Decatur

3 of my friends wanted to go there to see the hot Mexican waitress. And I agree that she is very pretty. I waited about 10 min or more before she ever looked my way. She waited on the rest of the bar, some of the ones she was flirting with even for a second drink. Finally, a male stopped and asked if I wanted to order a drink, which I did. And, I added that I would like to see a menu. After a wait, my drink was brought. I asked to place an order for food, and that is where the service went south. The pretty little waitress said, that if I wanted to order food that she needed to hold my credit card. I smell scam!! I travel all over Illinois and sometimes to other states and out of the country, but never has any waitress asked to hold my credit card in order to order a sandwich. What?? I was going to pay cash. I ask for the manager. The time was about 7:00 pm. She said that the manager is not there. The other Mexican bartender came over and said that it is the rules to take my card. Funny, he did not ask anyone else to give up a credit card. So I am giving them a bad review. I do not need this restaurant. I owned the veterinary hospital next door for years. Many businesses have come and gone from this restaurant location. And, I will bet they will not make it long either. Insulting me will not help them. I will tell all about the rude behavior of the staff. ...

The overall atmosphere is very welcoming. The food was excellent i had a three cheese bacon bbq burger and thought that it was very good. The bartender was very professional and very welcoming. I did ask where the head was a got a weird look at first but after i made myself more clear i was able to find it with little problem. The bathroom was clean and did not smell bad either so thats a plus in my book. I would recommend this bar to anyone who is looking for a nice place to relax and enjoy yourself...

The tap beer we had was good. The service was good at the bar. I hear they have good mixed drinks. The crowd that was there was not my type of crowd and it was very packed. It is not a large area inside so I feel like they shouldn't charge as much as they do to get in... The DJ was ok and I'm not sure if he takes saying requests or not. Maybe it would be a better experience when it warms up outside so we could be outside if it's too...
