This review is specifically for Winchell's NEW CLAM CHOWDER RECIPE. We were told that it now has bacon, but we still decided to give it a try to see the change. It was a bad decision as it was practically lard soup. It was so bad that we should've taken the cue from the customers who had ordered the same ahead of us and decided to return their order after noticing the change themselves. Their food is still good, I would like to make clear. Everything else I do not have an issue with. But ruining what I assume to be one of their best sellers in such a drastic way was disappointing. I do not recommend trying it, and instead, if maybe enough customers have the same opinion, they might rethink their decision and bring back the old recipe. I hope so, it is my favorite of their food selections. Came back after a few months to Winchell's and was ecstatic to find out that they finally changed their clam chowder back to the way it was(or as close to it as they could if there is any difference)! That recipe of Clam chowder that they have will always be a favorite of mine, which I would highly recommend for people to have! Either alone, or as my husband & I like ordering, as a combo with their other food because what they have in their menu...
Read moreMy review is based off of 4 different times we came here to buy our favorite donuts (on the Fancy side). It was about the 3rd time going here that we notice that the particular donut we ask for either ran out, the mix didn't come in, lacking the ingredients to make it. By the 4th visit, a Sunday after morning mass, we already new when we walked in that the particular donut we like wasn't there along with the other fancy donuts that are supposed to be on the menu. If you look at the display all you see are majority round cake, round raised, twist, and maybe the maple or chocolate bars. To me after this 4th episode, either they don't know how to make the Fancy donuts or the baker is just to lazy to do it. Now we go all the way to Mangilao to get donuts and we live in Dededo, why? Because they have all the donuts we are looking for. I work at UOG and I stop by mornings frequently for coffee and a soup & sandwich for lunch and when I check the display, they always have the donuts we like, always. So, going back to my comment about running out, no...
