Food was ok, nothing special but the delivery guy messed up our order and dropped off another customers food. When we called to get it cleared up the man on the phone was talking to other staff that we could overhear that the delivery man "Chris" had been messing up a lot that day and messed up the same way several times that night. The man on the phone said to us he would call the driver to have him come back with our food. When the driver came back, he asked for the food back from the wrong order he dropped off. We explained we had opened it already to check to see if it was our order so it wasn't completely sealed anymore but the driver insisted he needed it back for the other customer anyways. Since he had been messing up frequently apparently we wondered if another customer had touched our food to check for their order and that seems unsanitary. The driver left without producing the old receipt in which we had tipped well before realizing the order was wrong. We called the store back to ask them to remove the tip due to the poor delivery and customer service (no discount, refund or apology for the mishap) and the man on the phone could be heard again speaking to other staff that we were "giving him a hard time" even though we were calm and trying to explain what happened. After careful review of the menu at East Dedham Pizzeria, I decided upon two large pizza one topping, which according to the menu was $14.95 ($29.90 plus taxes). It came as a total surprise when the owner charged me $50.00 claiming that the selected item (chicken) counted as three items. Even when I factored in the effects of restaurant closures during the pandemic, I could not bring myself to pay three time as much for something as readily available and abundant as chicken. I ask to cancel one of the pizzas which I thought was generous on my part given the absences of any mention that an Item could actually constitute three Items, and no longer was I paying $14.95, but 19.95. They offer no apology and insisted that I wait 3 days or a refund as if they didn’t have $30.00 cash available. Done with Fast food and done with this joint. Within that time I was disrespected, the owner is very rude and talks crap about customers within ear shot, they don’t charge your card right away and when I attempted to order today he said you’re all set and me thinking he took the money went to lock my account but. A bill took the money. I assumed I was safe because he said I was all set They never attempted to take the money till 20 minutes later. So because the bill came out there was no longer enough in my account. When trying to sort it out I was met with a man who was extremely rude and disrespectful.
