I was very excited to try out this place because I believe in supporting local businesses and I live in the area. However, it ended up being a complete waste of money. The service was fine. Two younger guys working the counter who were nice and the store appeared to be clean and well kept. But all I ordered was a small milkshake and a single scoop of ice cream with two mix ins in a waffle bowl and it was almost $25 which is completely outrageous. That is more than I have ever paid for any ice-cream including even cold stone creamery. Not to mention the flavor was not worth it at all. My husband enjoyed his strawberry milkshake but the strawberry cheesecake ice-cream I had was not good at all and definitely had no cheesecake flavor. Most disappointing was the waffle cone bowl. There is no telling how long it had been sitting out, but it was definitely beyond stale. No crunch left to it at all and weirdly chewy and difficult to eat plus no flavor to it. Not at all what I would expect given the prices. Save your money or better yet go down the road to Ron's where you will get much more ice-cream and...
Read moreThis spot has a good thing going, and our family is really happy to have a great ice cream option so close to home. Their homemade ice cream is delicious, creamy and smooth. Try the mango flavor! They offer so many toppings, so it's fun to try different combinations. It is family owned and operated, and so far everyone is really attentive and sweet. The atmosphere is so new and shiny, feels fresh and clean. They could use more personality in the decorating or motif, highlighting the family vibe. The prices vary based on how many scoops and toppings, but for all the critics in here who say it's expensive, I challenge you to show me ONE place in the greater Boston area with better deals, guys you can get the cheapest single scoop there, or get a ton of stuff and still pay less than at other spots. We will keep going...
Read moreI really want to love this place because it's local and the premise is great, but at least currently it's not a pleasant experience. The employees are unorganized and unsure, the scoops are terribly small for the price (it seemed like they were having trouble scooping), and the toppings are way too expensive (only 25 cents less than a scoop of ice cream). If they develop a faster system and serve substantial scoops, I would enjoy coming here and even paying $7.50 every once in a while. I love having an ice cream place close by, so I hope they resolve...
