My not-yet-boyfriend was turning 30 in 2024, and I really wanted to make his birthday special and unforgettable. Especially since he had been taking care of his father, who passed away from cancer the year before. And also because he's such a beautiful gem of a human inside-and-out.

I had booked a hotel room for several weeks on the beach and was searching for a place to make a cake idea I had. What luck to find that this bakery was only about 10 minutes from the hotel! Also, I was very impressed with the photos of the cakes they made - they were all beautiful with great attention to detail.

Luckily, I had a couple of months before his birthday, which gave them more than enough time to create the cake. I sent them an email with picture ideas of what I was hoping for. They responded with a fair price for the custom cake and that I had to pay first to complete the order - no problem!

Later on, I was connected with Erica on the phone. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they were Brazilian because my boyfriend is, too. She was very helpful in choosing the flavors because, at the time, I didn't really know much about Brazilian food/flavors aside from churrasco restaurants.

When my sweetheart and I first started talking, we would watch cartoons/animes together. I introduced him to one called "Bee & Puppycat." We both loved the cartoon so much that we made it our thing. That's where the idea of his birthday cake would be Puppycat's head. And since we also met online playing video games, I had them write "Level 30" on there, too.

The day finally arrived to pick up the cake. My boyfriend had no idea where we were going. I told him to go inside and get his surprise. He was joyfully stupefied at seeing the cake. He could not get over how awesome it looked (me neither) and said it was the best birthday cake he ever had. We left feeling elated, profusely thanking Erica.

Once we got back to our hotel room, we cut into the cake. The flavors were perfection, and the cake itself was lusciously moist. Since it was just the two of us, we could only eat so much of it, so he froze the rest of it for a long time, not wanting to throw it away because he loved it so much.

Suffice to say, if you're looking for a custom cake that will not only wow the crowd but tastes good, too - then, this is the place. Their cakes are undeniably...

Beyond disappointed with my experience. I contacted bake a wish about regards to renting a faux cake for my wedding. Erica reached out to me and gave me all the details. She texted the price of the rental and then I later inquired about the fee for them to drop it off and pick it up after and she texted me the same price. I assumed that it was included since she did not say it would be an extra charge. She then assured me that nothing would be done until we meet in person for me to drop off the deposit (as seen in the pictures below). Due to her having to change the appointment we then met 2 days prior to my wedding, so you know how stressed I already was with everything else. Once we arrive to her office, she goes over the information again and explains that the price for her to drop off/pick up the cake is the same price to rent it. I was upset because this was not explained clearly in the messages but to be polite I just explained to her that we would have to cancel the order and apologized for taking up her time. Since there was no contract signed, I knew it wouldn't be an issue. Once I leave she then starts to text me that our initials were already made for the cake and that we were responsible to pay for it. I was already in a meeting with another vendor and figured I would respond later. The next morning my wedding designer who had nothing to do with this sent me a message in regards to it, so then I really got upset. It was the day before my wedding and Erica was involving people that had nothing to do with it over her mistake. I then called her and she just kept going on about it and about how I had to pay for it. She was extremely unprofessional and even threw in my face that I was the one that apologized for this. Once I call the number she forwarded me to pay for the item, the girl states "it's not worth it for her to put her kids in the car and meet me to collect the $15" EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL! I will never use them again for...

It has been nearly a month since our wedding and everyone still talks about how delicious and authentic the docinhos and cake were!! From the initial conversation with Erica it was an honest and we clicked. I met Erica in person to discuss the cake details and the docinhos quantities. She was able to guide me and I had the fear that it wasn't enough.

When we came in for the tasting, she has nearly 20 flavors for us to try with different combinations. Right there and then we decided the flavors and quantities.

The cake was absolutely everything I had envisioned it would be and it tasted phenomenal. It was fresh and moist. The docinhos were extemely delicate and each had a special touch. I provided Erica with the forminhas and the colors I wanted. She also was able to help set up my dessert table which was timeless and elegant.

Thank you both for your tremendous work and it was our pleasure working with you. You will be seeing more of us as we conquer and celebrate our life milestones!

We had a mix of Americans and Brazilians at our wedding and everyone was extremely impressed with it. I ordered 800 docinhos, 3 tiered cake and 200 salgadinhos as a late night snack which were paired with french fries cones and mini burgers.
