I usually go to location and get the same a cheese empanada, today I came in asked for the same and the lady told me we only have chicken empanadas I asked her to give me 2 she put them in to go bag I put hands inside the bag and took a piece realized she gave me 2 meat empanadas instead I told her I couldn’t eat meat and to switched them for something else, she took the same 2 empanadas I actually bit on and touched and put them back in the tray to sell them again I asked her she was going to do that and she simply ignored me and told me with a straight face “ I put back the one you didn’t bite” I mean with everything that’s happening in the world I would think they will be more careful and have better higiene , I then told another girl who works there what she did and she also ignored me. I will never go back to that place and will recomen to be careful when buying food there . I have to say one thing the owners or managers are always very friendly and nice but they weren’t...
Read moreWas let down by this place, being in SoFlo you know good Cuban food and this being a small place and not a chain was promising but ultimately missed the mark. Went with my daughter to grab some lunch, we ordered a media noche, pan con lechón, croquetas de jamón, batidas de mango 🥭 y fresa 🍓. The service was great the waitress was efficient, friendly and helpful, the food was subpar. The media noche had hardly any meat and the cheese hadn’t even melted, the pan con lechón had bell pepper (never seen this before) and no seasoning, the croquetas looked like they needed a second life and had been in the display for too long and the shakes had big chunks of ice in them. The whole shop is outdoor seating near the dump so the ambiance is lacking and oppressive if the wind changes direction. Can’t speak to their coffee or breakfast options (being 99* outdoor seating makes it hard to get hot coffee) but would opt to go elsewhere...

OWNER : I've always wanted to stop by and try the place. Today I stopped and order a media noche, my stomach still hurting three hours later.
Honestly I could have made a better looking and tasting sandwich myself. POORLY PREPARED, 1 PICKLE ON EACH SIDE, BREAD SO THIN IS WAS BREAKING APART ON ITS OWN. PORK WAS AT LEAST 3 DAYS OLD, PORTION OF PORK DRIED AS CAN BE. NO NAPKINS IN THE BAG.
I just can't recommend this place, sorry for the bad review but honestly I'm being very nice by giving you 2 stars and really I'm going to stop here now.
Please, is only a sandwich how hard is it to prepare it with a little bit of caring.
Hope you guys...
