Friday night fish fry. Around 6:00 clock and tables available. Other than fish was the regular menus. It’s Friday, why would you get anything else? Fish was very good and was moist with light batter. Tasted like fish and not greasy batter. Combo of two pieces of fish (Cod or Walley) and 3 large shrimp for $13.00. Great selection of beer and mixed drinks. Will go back for the lunch specials. Oh, the chairs - you will never find more comfortable chairs anywhere. New hours starting May 1 Monday 4 pm to 10 Kitchen serving pizza and appetizers only Tuesday through Thursday 11 am to 10 pm Kitchen 11 am to 9 pm Friday 11 am to midnight Kitchen 11 am to 9 pm Saturday 9 am to midnight Kitchen 9 am to 9 pm Sunday 9 am to 5 pm Kitchen 9 am to 5 pm

Update from 10/3/25 visit- we haven't been since the new menu, first visit since. We'd been there 4 or 5 times previously and always good. This was a big disappointment. Starting with the tap spotted cow, its a thick heavy mug that holds maybe 8oz, was $5. Cheese curds went from $7 to $10 dollars. The food was all a lot of $$ for not much and some was cold. Very disappointed. The staff was ok, food was pretty quick to be served. _______ Went for Friday night Fish, was excellent. Jay the server/bartender was great, he is very busy!

We are from Texas, we stopped in to have a drink. We noticed the cute little bar on the street. The patio was inviting, they had flowers everywhere and the patio was very clean. Inside the place was very inviting and the owner even offered me a taste of some chicken that he just cooked up on the grill. The bar keeper we super sweet and helpful. We ordered a basket of fries and they were delicious. If we lived in Deerfield we would definitely make this our regular place for happy hour and yummy eats.

The real kicker is at the end.

Had an interesting experience in here today. Six of us met to get breakfast. The food was great, but the service was on another level of awful. The server came over about 6 times over the span of 25 minutes to take our food orders. Mind you, he already took them all right away, but he had to keep coming back to ask who got what again. Needless to say no one's order was correct. I had to ask for a water 4 times before I just got up and asked the bartender instead. Another one of our party asked for syrup 4 times for her French toast before having to also just get it herself. All of our bills were incorrect.

Here's the kicker! My group left, but I was in the restroom. I sat and listened to the bartender, server, and cook start complaining about us and our expectations, acting like we were upset about how long it took. The things they were saying were extremely rude and profanity laced. You could imagine they looked like a bunch of deer caught in the headlights when I came out of the bathroom.

News flash guys - We just expect to get what we ask for without having to repeat ourselves several times just to have it wrong in the end despite the effort. We also expect our server to not have the memory capacity of a potato. Why did he bother writing anything down in the first place?

And if you have terrible service, rest assured that the staff is going to say some not very pleasant things about you...

This place is going down hill it seems, we moved to the area 4 months ago and it was a solid place with good portions but this last month or so we’ve gone a few times and Prices are rising and quality is going down. Previously I had the French dip and the au ju was clear and tasted like water mixed with broth and I could tell the meat was reheated from frozen. We decided to try it again, and it was disappointing. The pricing needs review I got the bubba burger which is a fully loaded double burger with bacon listed at 14.99 and my wife got the regular burger which is listed at 9.99 then she got cheese lettuce tomato and mayo and it cost an extra 2.50 for that so my burger was 2 dollars more and I got an extra patty and bacon, onions and special sauce. To Upgrade to Fries from chips it’s an extra $2.50 for every meal so we decided to get a basket of fries to share and it was the same amount of fries as a typical side would be but cost $5. I understand everything is getting more expensive but this is not the way to run a business. The burgers were good enough but The food is just not fresh, the prices are getting higher and portions getting smaller. We are willing to pay inflated prices for good food but high prices and mediocre food is not it. I hope things get better but we won’t be...

used to love coming to this bar. seems like things have changed on the food side recently. we were in and what appeared to be the chef/ cook/ Manager came out. he was outgoing and had a lot to say about the food. telling us about how much of it was made from scratch and made in house. We were not expecting that kind of interaction and we had high hopes. unfortunately it was pretty much all bad. the chicken wings were seemingly undercooked and not even remotely crispy. rubbery. lots of grease in the bottom of the wax paper in the serving basket that could have been drained out from the fryer basket before serving. the fish fry must have been left in the cooker too long as it was some of the least tender fish I've ever had. dry and chewy with a very greasy breading. we used to love coming here but its hard to justify coming back after this. The bartender was very nice and friendly but we expected the food to be better, especially after the guy came out telling us how good everything would be. underwhelming to say the least. Deerfield has much better options for fish fry...
