Sugar On Top by Mari — Restaurant in Defiance Township

Sugar On Top by Mari is all homemade bakery goods. Mari bakes and makes everything by herself. She sure keeps busy. You can tell she puts her heart into her business. She’s also local and that’s great for a business in my opinion. So the hours for the day/time open is on Facebook. I kept missing it because I’m not on Facebook. So I drove there today. I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. It’s the best I’ve ever had from any local pizza place in town. It’s so fresh. It’s made perfect with the right amount of toppings and cheese. In my option there’s no need for extra cheese because she’s generous with the cheese. The crust is nice and airy. I do not like pizza crust but this one was really good. Now for the bakery part of it. There were sooo many to choose from, on my visit. Regular size cookies for $1 or the stuffed cookies for $3.25. Stuffed meaning for example, I got the lemon cookie and it’s stuffed with a lemon Oreo. I also got a strawberry cheesecake cookie. They have brownies too. Again there’s soooo many to choose from. They have homemade freeze dried candy too made from gomattysgo. If you’re in the area you should look up Sugar On Top by Mari on Facebook for the hours they’re open. Or you can send a message on messenger after likening and following their page. You won’t regret it. It’s literally like a kid in a candy store….you’ll have a tough time making a decision. Or you could just get one of everything!!! I will return again to try different cookies....
