Not a good experience for our first time to visit this establishment. It was however very clean. We gave our drink order while we looked over the menu. Our waitress brought the drinks to us right away, but we still needed a little more time. After about 10 minutes, we were ready to order. Our waitress was at another table eating. So another waitress asked us if we were ready to order, and I told her yes. So she motioned to our waitress and she came to take our order. She did not have anything to write our order on, which is okay if you have a great memory for taking orders mentally. So, I preceded to order an appetizer of Crab Rangoons, and then we both ordered the Imperial Combination Dinner (fried rice with steak, chicken and shrimp with a choice of salad or spring roll) We were asked how we wanted our steak -- mine was med rare and his was med. After 20-25 minutes our entrees were brought to us by a different waitress who preceded to ask if we needed anything else. I told her that we ordered some Crab Rangoon and she said she would go check on that. She never returned. So we began to eat our "LUKEWARM" meal. Now you would think after 25 minutes of waiting for our food, that it would come to us piping hot, right? NOT! Also, our steak was not cooked like either of us wanted. So, midway through our meal, our waitress finally checks on us. I told her that I was still waiting for my Rangoons. She said she would put in the order right way IF I STILL WANTED THEM. I told her YEAH, I ordered them didn't I? So off she goes. It is now at the end of our meal. and we are finishing up, when our waitress returns with our bill and asked if there would be anything else. AGAIN, I tell her I am still waiting for my Rangoons. She then preceded to tell me, "I didn't think you wanted those" and I told her, yes I did, I told you that I wanted them. And she then preceded to ask if we wanted a "to go" box. I told her yes. After she left to get our box and I thought my Rangoons, I looked at the bill and noticed that she charged us for the Rangoons. So, upon her return with the box, I told her about the charge, and she response was, "OH, I did charge you for those, didn't I?" Do you still want them? At this point, I am upset. 4 times I asked about my order, and 4 times I was put off. And the last time I was accused of telling her that I did not want them. SO my husband told her to take it off the bill and forget it. Never again will I darken the door of this establishment. POOR SERVICE, LUKEWARM food and you are charged for food ordered...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place will be around for a long time, and it will stay, that I have no doubt! They do have some kinks though⦠Which they probably wonāt work out, because they are in a small town. If you like spring rolls or egg rolls, stay away from the spring rolls here they will leave you In disappointment⦠They have this weird Breading taste to them⦠Itās got like too much bread in it, which is really weird because it should just be a wonton⦠More breading than meat and other fillings. If you try them, youāll know what Iām talking about. Itās really weird. However, freshness of the vegetables were outstanding, along with what I can only assume is homemade Yum Yum sauce! Which was also amazing! They donāt understand the difference between appetizers and a main course, my appetizer came out at the exact same time. My lunch came out:( Which was very unfortunate because I couldnāt actually enjoy my lunch, Nice and hot. I did order a steak, medium rare, and it basically came out a little over medium! So you might want to say rare Or just say three minutes on one side and three minutes on the other But the flavor on it was great! Fried rice was good too. They definitely have a lack of service issue, I had a young Asian lady taking care of me today⦠And not one time other than to give me the bill that she check up on me⦠Not one time did she asked me if I had everything I needed, how is the food, NOTHING! She just gave me my bill:( They are also lying on their website, they do not have sake, nor any other drinks, other than soda and water. All in all the portions are good, and the food is pretty damn good! Itās also nice to be able to get this kind of food without having to wait for a table to fill up with seats! And the prices are really good as well! Would I go back⦠more than likely! As much as I am a steak lover, I would probably go back for the veggies and that addicting Yum Yum sauce. Iām only giving it three stars, because my steak was overcooked, a lack of service, and the spring rolls were...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place was great when it first opened. And I get staffing issues but those issues really affect business.
I went for lunch with my daughter yesterday a little after 11. There was only one other table there. I found out they had ordered several sushi rolls on my own after the fact.
Our waitress came up to the table cell phone in hand. We knew what we wanted as we order to go often so we put our order in with our drinks. The waitress served our drinks with one being in the same hand as her cell phone. Then after about 5-7 minutes my daughter's chicken came out with my rangoons. She was able to eat her whole plate before the soup or sushi made it out. The waitress never once informed me that the miso soup wasn't ready or that the sushi was going to take awhile because of the other tables requests. I had to walk up to the waitress and ask her because she was too busy on her cell phone walking behind the curtain where the restrooms were and standing in front of the sushi station. The sushi was not edible. I had two from my salmon roll and one from my Philadelphia roll, usually the sushi is amazing but it was very off that day. It honestly almost ruined all sushi for me. I still get sick thinking about it and the taste.
So while my daughter was waiting on me since she had well finished her food, I couldn't eat because it was so terrible. So I had to stand up and flag down the waitress again to get the check. She offered to take the soup off since it came out so late but I said no because the sushi was terrible so the soup was the only thing that was eaten. But the lady at the register gave me a $2 off my bill. So instead of $34 I paid $32 for food that wasn't eaten. I will never place another order there whether it be done in or to go. I should have gone to Beef O Brady's or Jin Jin's in the same strip as I never had issues with either of them. But my daughter was craving the habatchi which was the only good thing...
