I need to be gluten free and when I made the change over 10 years ago, Bea noticed my new request, sat down and asked about my special diet restrictions. She explained that her facility was not gluten free but made sure to accommodate my diet restrictions. At the time I was inside her restaurant and I saw her through the little window wash out her wok and make me a normal dish! I had been getting salad with no croutons and sometimes no dressing!!!almost everywhere I went up until that day because nobody bothered to take the time to understand or cater to my diet restrictions. I also have an aunt that visits from MN who has full blown Celiac’s disease and we ALWAYS get Bea’s and so far she has never had a bad reaction. I also think it helps that Bea’s restaurant is incredibly clean. My Grandma who has no diet restrictions but can’t venture out right now absolutely loves Bea’s egg rolls. They are always still HOT by the time we get home to Grandma! So with all our restrictions we haven’t had to miss out on anything. Thank you Bea and her awesome staff! P.S. Best chicken soup in...
Read moreService was good, the two cooks/waiters were nice and friendly! The food was not even close what I was expecting based on the reviews and we got sick! We ordered 2 appetizers (wings which were pretty good but we’re definitely premade and dropped to heat them up as they came out super fast and we’re tough/dry and dumplings which were actually fried and cold in the middle like they were frozen before. They came out within the first five minutes of us ordering and tasted like a freezer as well) and two entrees (beef pad Thai that wasn’t even close to pad thai I’ve had at other Vietnamese restaurants, there was soy sauce on it and some random undercooked vegetables topped on it and like 5 pieces of meat and spicy chicken curry with underdone rice and undercooked vegetables).
Midway through the meal I got nauseated so I stopped eating and took the rest to go but didn’t say anything immediately to my husband because I thought it could be just random but then I had diarrhea and stomach cramps by the time we got home and he started throwing up later that night. First...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. This is most definitely not Vietnamese food, but a very poor and watered down version to suit bland palettes. I ordered the ‘pho’ and what I received was a very plain beef soup. I asked for the usual sides that comes with pho, like bean sprouts and lime, and was told it did not come with it because most Americans don’t know what pho really is. This was told to me by the owner. I didn’t press the issue, was still kind of perplexed why she would say something like that when I told her I knew what pho was. Friend ordered the Pad Thai, it came out as a congealed, overly sweet, gloopy mess. Definitely not fresh ingredients used as the sauce had a very artificial flavor. Sorely disappointed, since this place seems to have...
