Certainly a local staple, especially for the Philippine community in the area. I have memories of going here in the morning for freshly baked goods.
As some prior reports have indicated it appears there has been instances where fresh goods are mixed with old ones. Now I haven't had a personal experience, or am aware of it. However, a friend of mine did.
One morning we had stopped by, and I believe one of the things he had gotten was an empanada. Took a bite, and when he pulled it away from his mouth something cheese like stretched from where he took a bite to his mouth. I thought to myself, I guess they included some sort of cheese to it. He mentioned it had an odd taste and took a sniff and immediately winced. Taking a sniff myself it was clear, it was bad if not rotten. He goes in and informs the staff and is compensated. Now this has not happened too recently, so hopefully how they track how long baked goods is available has been improved.
