If I could I would leave a 0 star My wedding is on October 12,2024 I decided to take my wedding dress for alterations there because in the past I had no problems with them,now I highly regret ever leaving it there. I dropped it off the first week of September they kept prolonging it and gave it back the WEEK OF my wedding. This was supposed to be a nice experience I didn’t even get to try it on fully altered with my family there to have that nice moment due to them not keeping their word and changing the appts so much,on top of that they didn’t even want to give me atleast a discount for giving me false information about the dress being ready at a certain day/time. They’re just unprofessional like why make an appt if you’re gonna keep rescheduling over and over and come up with excuses one after another literally calling me 20 min before the appts when I had made time out of my day to go pick it up (they did this to me 3 different times) like if you couldn’t do the job I would have gladly taken my dress else where, honestly don’t waste your time coming here unless you wanna lose your patience and be stressed out of ur mind …Ladies and Gents at Bakersfield give great service I’d rather take the drive out there than come here (so much for supporting a small business) .
MY RESPONSE TO YOU- Well I feel like you should have reviewed this sooner. Clearly if you valued your clients you’d have a higher overall rating I had reached out to you 4 months in advance for details of when to bring in the dress, If you were not experienced in alterations in various dresses you shouldn’t have taken on my request. With your continuous rescheduling because your seamstress was “out of town” or “having personal issues”, It felt like I had to keep up with reworking my schedule to accommodate to you as a “valued client”.
Despite of my unrealistic (bare minimum) of expectations were considered “a full luxury bridal experience” I still paid you fully and complied with the challenges you threw on me. Although you want your clients to have a “beautiful and joyful experience” it seems that many can agree your lack of staff service is not the priority.
Regardless of small businesses or not I will continue to pay for the service that is deserved and with your lack of customer service skills it is clear this business is a money grab and not to prioritize the customers occasion.

Read moreVery disappointed with the OWNER of the shop. Such an irresponsible individual. Excuse after excuse. Even tried to place blame on us and her daughter. The dress was supposed to be done on Monday July 28, and she closed all day. Tuesday, she was closed as well, but assured us we can pick up the dress at 11:45 am the following day. The excuse was that she closed for personal reasons. Wednesday came, and she was closed at the time she told us to go. We went back at 1 pm and it was still closed. We kept calling from multiple different numbers, and when she finally answered, she said she was sorry and that she would personally deliver the dress after she closed the shop at 6 pm. She never delivered anything, and Thursday came around, we all kept calling with no luck. I was able to find the Instagram and called and left a message. no answer. we had to go purchase another dress since we only had Friday to figure out any alterations if needed. Well, today we called multiple times with no answer. My dad went in person and found her there with an open shop and a ringing phone. My dad had to put my mom on his phone so she could talk to her. She kept stuttering and trying to change the subject and reassure my mom that the dress was ready. she tried placing the blame on my mom, saying she called and texted my mom when in fact she did not.. She then tried placing blame on her daughter, saying that her daughter didn't tell her about the delivery on Wednesday. Again, another lie. We spoke to the OWNER directly. Such poor communication skills! So irresponsible! If the dress was not ready and you needed more time, you should have just come clean, and we would have loved to give you more time. Instead, you kept dodging all our calls and made us buy another dress because we thought we would not get this dress back. If you need alterations, please take your business elsewhere. I'd hate for someone to go through the same thing and be anxious all day due to now knowing where your going to get another dress for your event.

But looks like time has taken a toll because they could care less of their customers. I purchased my dress had it measured and ordered. Then when I went to try it on with my heels she told me her seamstress 'her freaken mother' sold my dress to someone else. The wedding i was ordering is on October I ordered my dress on June mind you. Now she said it was our mistake I'm sorry or whatever. Then she promised she could still order another and that it'd arrive quick she'd pay for express shipping. I kept calling to see if it arrived she finally answered and said yes. I drove there outside the shop ready to get off then she calls saying she barely opened it and it was the wrong color🙄. Then she said she could try to reorder it but it was out of stock now that it'd be a waiting game. I tried to be kind but it was so irritating and frustrating. Eventually I went to ladies and gents in Bakersfield instead and had her refund me I had had it with the sunflower shop. DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE.
