Jenny's Cafe — Restaurant in Delano

First thing I don't like to put negative reviews unless they completely deserve it. Just putting that out there. Ok so I went to this place Im not from the area. Just looked up Mexican restaurants in Delano this place looked good so lets try it out. Walked in sign there sit yourself ok fine no problem didn't get a hello,welcome, etc. Again no problem it happens. Waitress didn't say hi,welcome,etc. Just can I get you something to drink again its ok no problem. Was quick to get my order that was ok. But after I got my food I ran out of chips and salsa just dropped off my food and left sorry but its standard to ask customers if they would like more even if you might charger more you still need to ask. This is when I started noticing both servers wouldn't check on me at all.I noticed every table would be getting checked on. I put my glass on the edge on my booth but never got a refilled.I felted that I was the problem if I had something wrong to be there like i was nueces to them.Never in my life had I felt that way. I lost my appetite reason I gave them 2 stars the food was good. But i still gave a tip I can't not leave a tip i feel...

So I was there a couple days ago. I ordered menudo and unfortunately found a hair in it, instantly as the server put it down. This is how I know it wasn't mine because she literally just put it down, I leaned down to take a good look at it and there it was. I told her and she apologized and then asked if I wanted anything else. I was really craving menudo so I just said if I can have a fresh bowl of menudo. Upon bringing it, it was upgraded to a large with no charge! That was really sweet. It was really good customer service, only except the hair and at the end when I wanted a togo box for my soup, it took a bit to receive one, so my husband went up to get it instead.

Nice little atmosphere and we all enjoyed the pictures on the walls. We were sat in the corner room where there were these illusion like paintings that were great concersation pieces.

I don't come to this city, ever. It was my first time, but when I come back I wouldn't mind going here again. Everyone else's food...

Tried this place for the first time and believe it will be my last. The service really sucked!!! You seat yourself, so we did, we say for about 10 minutes before someone realizes we were there. A server taking her order to the table across us seen us but never said a word to us, you would thinks she would have said we will be right with you...not a word. Long story short the servers didn't look happy kind of looked like they were forced to be there, not friendly at all. Finally our order was taken. The food was okay, salsa was a little spicy, chips tasted nice and fresh. If you go be prepared to go ask for anything you might need at the register bc they don't come to...
