Such a strange place. We were there for dinner and they were ACTIVELY turning away business. Telling people they stopped doing to-go orders and that they weren't seating - even though they were open for another hour and a half? Everyone, including those of us already dining, were confused.
Our dinner itself was okay. This was our first time dining-in. We've had pepperoni pizza here once before (more on that in a minute), and it was great, but we were disappointed with the service and lack of flavor on the Garlic & Artichoke option this time.
My coffee didn't come until our food, and although the server was apologetic, things were all moving incredibly slow. There wasn't a rush, with only 4-5 tables being occupied.
In addition, something needs to get resolved with whatever feud they're in with Fernson. I believe that is why they have such strange policies.
When we were here prior, we wanted a pizza to take to Fernson. I've lived in cities where this is quite common. Bar + pizza place next to it? It's a night-out match made in heaven!
They were incredibly weird about us ordering a to-go pizza, and our interrogation began.
"Are you taking this next door?"
Me: "We had planned on it, but were just going to check in with them."
Somehow we convinced the girl to let us give her money for a damn pizza and brought it into Fernson. The bartender didn't mind at all as long as we took the box with us. Works for me!
Fast forward back to our visit yesterday. 4 different times as we were finishing our meal I heard the two employees pushing people away.
It was first: "We can't do to-go orders at night"?.. to which most people said. Okay, can we sit down and then just take our leftovers?
"You could have dined-in, but we close in an hour and a half and so we aren't able to seat you"?
With the lofted dining space everyone could hear the awkward pause that followed. Just have your week night hours go until 7pm if you want people out by 7pm?...
It was surreal, and I felt it was something out of Curb Your Enthusiasm. All that was missing was a 3rd excuse: "There was a disturbance in...
Read moreSince Breadico has opened, I’ve come here a couple times. They have an excellent atmosphere and I know their pizza has the reputation as some of the best in town, but the past 2 times it has been a different story. I’m not sure what the underlying issue is, but lately our food has been very overcooked. The first time I just went with it, but this last time it was totally burnt. I didn’t feel it was right to pay and not get a quality product. So I spoke up, mentioned it tasted burnt, and was in turn treated like I was an inconvenience and was told its just because the oven was hot. I explained that the pizza’s flavor was completely over taken by being burnt but was very polite about it … I hate saying things when this happen but it just wasn’t good at all and the response was unapologetic. The cook remade the pizza but it felt as if I was being unreasonable.
In that same dinner experience, we also ordered an artichoke appetizer. I love artichokes and was excited to try it. But this was also burnt. It was very chewy and mostly black. We told the server it wasn’t very appetizing and didn’t even really eat any of it. She told us that was too bad and that everyone who has ordered it loved it, again, making us feel like we were the bad guys. Getting overcooked food is one thing, that’s fixable, but the lack of caring by the staff was what really left a bad taste in my mouth, not the food. We left feeling like no one really cared. We went to Breadico looking to have a fun date night and some good food, pretty bummed at the outcome of our experience. Its going to be a while before we consider...
Read moreTalked to them Friday at 12:39pm to make arrangement for a work dinner. They told me they could not seat us, but we could order and eat at the bar next door. So I said we would do that. I stopped in tonight at 6:20 when they had no one in and double checked that we were still good. I went over to order a little before 7:30 and was told they could not do it. They had no notes about it and I should have contacted them early. When I informed the worker I had and given him the time table, he basically called me a lier. He also informed me they did not do mushrooms on the weekend(it’s Wednesday night), their menu and worker did not tell me this when I stopped in top get a menu and had to take a picture of the menu. We needed to order a salad for my boss and the worker almost refused to do that. I loved the bread and pizza, but I don’t know if I could eat here again or recommend it to a friend after this...
