I adore this place. The chocolates are all done by hand and are simply divine. I drive from Grand Junction just to get a couple boxes of truffles. I usually spend at least $40 each visit and it's worth every cent. Multiple flavors of truffles and buttercreams, and each flavor comes in your option of milk or dark chocolate. They also carry fudge and other chocolates like peanut butter cups, barks, caramels, sugar free options, and now ice cream toppings.

Friendly Service and Delicious Chocolate These people make the best chocolate truffles and buttercreams I've ever had. There's a large variety of flavors, and almost everything inside is gluten-free to boot. They're always so friendly and have something new to try every time I stop by. Personal favorite: Orange truffles - a must try!

Family friendly atmosphere. Treats me like a best friend!! Chocolates are wonderful, and other candies on display will make anyone smile with a trip down memory lane. Please do not over look this amazing shop, skip the big chain stores and head over to Drost's Chocolates today. P.S.- THEY HAVE GREAT ICE CREAM OPTIONS AS WELL!!

Move over Willy Wonka! The only chocolate factory worth visiting is Drost's Chocolates on Main Street in Delta, CO! This is chocolate to die for! Lisa is by far the best master chocolatier on the Western Slope. Not only can we find (and of course buy and consume!!!) dark and milk chocolate versions of turtles, caramels, haystacks, and clusters, but we have also indulged in chocolate covered ginger and orange peels! But it doesn't stop there: we've also been thoroughly delighted by the truffles (try the Piece of Fire!), butter creams, bark, toffee (WOW!!!) and fudge (the Penuche is a slice of Heaven) that your grandmother would be absolutely proud of!!! When we step into the shop on Main, we leave all of our troubles behind: Drost's on Main is whimsical, colorful, a delight to the senses! And there's a WORKING jukebox on the premises, which spins the hits from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s every twenty minutes (but you can also choose two songs for a quarter -- talk about a blast from the past!). Drost's also offers Pop Rocks, chocolate covered popcorn and Oreos, and an assortment of treats (including eight flavors of the freshest ice cream around!) that will make you think you've gone to candyland heaven. The best thing about Drost's on Main is that ALL of the chocolates, ALL of the fudge is HANDCRAFTED on a marble table using a paddle...all of the chocolate products are tempered BY HAND! Drost's is the real deal, and Lisa is a master chocolatier who deserves the highest of accolades! So when you're in Delta next and wondering how to pass the time (or are wondering how you can treat yourself and family and friends to something truly special), stop in at Drost's Chocolates on Main Street. Lisa will make you feel...

Hidden gem for all old fashioned candy lovers. My family and myself CRUSH the vanilla buttercreams, maple, chocolate, key lime, cotton candy, peanut butter buttercreams as well. I'm a huge buttercream fan, but I've also had the chocolate honeycomb candy, they have ice cream and a huge assortment of other candies and treats. I usually get 15 buttercreams which are right around $37 but you can get them individually. Truffles and all the other old fashioned chocolate candies. Note that they are only open Wed-Sun 12pm-5pm, but that's probably for the best. If they were open. Every day I'd be more tempted to eat chocolate. Great for making gifts too. Great friendly service. I hope this place stays...

Delicious! Read the rest of this review later... Go there now! A refreshing level of sophistication. Artisanal craftsmanship. Extraordinary knowledge base and pride is evident. Buttercream is smooth and creamy and ratios are perfect with flavorings. No taste of anything artificial whatsoever. Beautifully consistent display cases. Truffles. Yes. Chocolate is shiny and cracks. Ganache is smooth and luxurious. Subtle for the mature palate, not just the sweet on sweet like box chocolates. All in all, Drost's is on par with anything you might expect in a high competition, more metropolitan market. ...
