I'm honestly dumbfounded by the good reviews this place gets.

This should be an extremely 'HARD PASS' for anyone who doesn't want to play Russian Roullette with their stomach. I'm not kidding...

Gosh, I really hate to have to be so mean about it but this place is just flat out nasty.

It's Chinese food apparently made specifically for people who HATE Chinese food and are looking to hate it even more, (or just want to reconfirm said hatred).

Dried out, stale, gross taste (like it's been sitting all day), and barely luke warm.

Even worse, every time we've eaten here (2-3 times, but no more unless things change) there's been mouthfuls of dried out hard clumps of rice in the egg fried rice that are so hard it's either uncooked or way too stale. You will consistently spit it out into your napkin. How the health inspectors have let this place slide is beyond my comprehension. Guaranteed there's some nasty unheigenic stuff going on in the kitchen.

Even the dining area is trashy looking with ratted out, thread-bare, stained (in places) carpet with a very oddly uneven floor. It's really odd looking with cheap knock off Chinese trinkets adorning the place. I get it, that's what Chinese restaurants have (the little trinkets), but these are not even tasteful, elegant or accidentally interesting... they look cheap. Just like the quality of the food.

I mean, I understand maybe the owners don't have a ton of money to renovate, but given the absolute garbage tasting food (that isn't cheap either, I might add) it doesn't add anything to the experience either. In fact, I would go as far as saying that just because a place is rundown doesn't necessarily mean the food is going to be bad. I've been to many places where the opposite is true. But this doesn't bode well when the "food" is just plain awful.

We've given it several tries and like an alzheimer's patient completely forgot the previous terrible experience, only to be reminded again after a few bites.

"Oh yeah, that's right...this is that really nasty Chinese place"

Is it possible we've just gone on the worst days? Possible, yes. Can this place be redeemed? Yeah, maybe. But as it sits right now? You should avoid...

Try Mai Mai in Grayling instead, much better food. Or the Chinese buffet in Houghton lake across from Garrett's in the strip mall. Far FAR better...

I SO wish I would have read the reviews before we ordered takeout. I got sweet and sour shrimp. I opened it and I was happy because the shrimp was huge! Until I tried to cut into one, I used a sharp knife and couldn't even get through it. There was a tiny shrimp inside of a ton of batter. We used to get this all the time and it was good but this was horrible. I called and told them there was literally one piece of green pepper in it. No onions, no carrots, no pineapple and her answer was they like to hide. Where in their kitchen? This was horrible! Oh yeah, and on the phone when I was ordering it I wanted hot and sour soup and she said you can only get soup and the egg roll with the DINNER, IF you're sitting inside....really??? I also asked her if I could get the vegetables cooked a little more than usual and she said no because they're not cooked. So I said what are they, raw? And she said no they're cooked. Ok, so I'm a little confused, so I asked again if I could get them cooked a little more than usual and she said...

We went 7/5/18 Wednesday night. We waited over 2 hrs and still hadn't gotten our supper. The table that came in 15 minutes after we did was waited on first...but they didn't have their food either. Then The waitress came out and said they were out of fried rice and was white rice ok?....that was the straw that broke the camel's back...we asked for the bill for our drinks and soup because we were done waiting...the waitress was very nice and wouldn't allow us to pay and apologized. Don't know what was up...we always had great food and usually fast service. Unfortunately even though we have been there many times....i don't believe we will ever go back. It's up for sale and we really don't believe they care anymore....maybe they should at least care until it IS sold?....very...
