This was my first time and last time at this location in Denton. I’m not sure if it was me comparing it to the Easton location in which they would get a 5 star, but this was the worst experience at a Dairy Queen I’ve had. I’m not even sure where to start. When we first walked in we were like oh this place is really nice, and it was, it was clean. We had to wait for which felt like a lifetime to even be acknowledged at the counter and they weren’t busy at all, the drive thru that was busy I will give them that but inside was not and the amount of employees working the back there should have been a designated counter employee, all the employees kept looking at us and not one acknowledgement. FINALLY someone came over and took our order. It was odd that she asked for my son’s ice cream because typically you just get a coupon and you can come back up. But anyways I told her what he would want. We pick our table and sit down. Next thing we see is the cashier girl bringing my son his sundae before we even get our food. She said oh I’m sorry. I’m sorry what? Why would I want the ice cream before the food. I told her to take it back. Next we finally get our food. My sons happy meal was fine. My burger was the worst one I’ve ever had. I could have went to McDonald’s and been happier. The burger was cold, the cheese wasn’t melted, the bread was stale and it tasted like raw onions. My friend burger was okay but the same thing cold and she had 2 different cheeses on her burger as if they weren’t paying attention. They charged my friend for ranch and didn’t charge me. When we were done I went to get my sons ice cream I ended up just getting a dilly bar because you can’t mess that up. Another lady had her ice cream messed up, she said there was coconut in it and they told her they didn’t have any in the restaurant but told her that and then said he wasn’t sure what it was. That’s assuring to know that they don’t know what was put in the ice cream. She also told me the cashier said she couldn’t flip the ice cream because the blizzard was too runny, I’m sorry again what? The rule to dairy cream is if you don’t flip it, it’s free. That alone should have been a clue that the blizzard wasn’t made right. She also said it was her last time there and easton is her go to also. I’m not sure if this was just an off night but I hope that no one else gets the experience of what my friend and me had along with the other family that was in there. I normally don’t complain but when we paid $30ish I expect the food...
Read moreI had quite a pleasant experience at the Denton, MD Dairy Queen today! The staff was extremely understanding when I expressed difficulty seeing the menu; one employee offered to walk me through it, and another let me know that I might be able to see it more easily on their DQ mobile app. One employee even gave me a heads up that the app might not show that they were currently out of honey mustard. How thoughtful!
I downloaded the app and walked around Denton Plaza while I made up my mind on what I wanted. I could not find a way to pay with a gift card on the app, so I came back to order. After a brief wait while they handled the customers that had come in while I was out, my order was taken, and not long afterward, I received it.
My hot fudge milkshake with strawberries was amazing, and I was impressed by the intense flavor of the rotisserie- style chicken bites salad bowl! Both the kindness displayed by the staff and the quality of the food leave me excited...
Read moreTried DQ twice this week. I normally love DQ burger. The 1st time I ordered all 3 of us said our orders were very salty. The 2nd time the burger wasn't as bad on the salty part it was just really soggy BUT I personally didn't order a burger I wanted to try the chicken sandwich...I was handed a burger out the window after being asked if they messed up in the burger count. I didn't think I needed to take everything apart to discover I already had 2 burgers and really needed a chicken sandwich...guess I needed to pull everything out and read it. On both visits the orders got screwed up and had confusion. 1st time I was told our MEALS didnt get drinks an our icecream was made in the lid not the cup. Mine had more caramel than icecream. I realize it's a learning situation still that's why I felt 2 for 2 that it was time to leave a...
