Ok, Ive tried to be patient and supportive but I'm done. Never seen a pizza place managed SO badly. Here is my experience for their opening couple months:
1st time: Waited 2 weeks after they open since it was nuts, still took 3.5 hours for delivery. But hey, it remains their only successful delivery
2nd time: Delivery again. Ordered at 11:30am to give them time. Apparently they open at 12(google says 10am) but will allow you to order earlier anyway, but the order just vanishes, even though the tracker said its still being made. No one answered the phone so had to drive in after 4 hours when I had a chance. They shrug and don't care and say theirs nothing they can do. Tried to charge me MORE money for carryout(online only coupon)
3rd time: Carryout, app says 25-35 minute until its ready. Show up after 40 minutes, still wait 40 more minutes.
4th and final time: Order at 12:30 on a Monday. No pizza after 2 hours. Call in, first time anyone has picked up the phone, so thats nice. They tell me they don't have a driver and to order on Doordash. I guess they just ignore the order completely, no one tried to tell me anything. I'm just glad someone picked up the phone FINALLY so I could cancel the order or I would still be wondering if I would ever eat.
Ordered Dominoes instead since they actually have drivers and can properly handle an online order. Food showed up in 30 minutes.
This place deserves to go out of business or the manager fired. What a joke. Hopefully the franchise owner realizes how bad everything is before its too late, what a complete clown show. Go give Lupe's Denton Pizza your business if you can do carryout and Dominoes is at least competent...
Read moreI am a lover of Pizza Hut but at this location it was about as bad as an experience in every way possible that you could have. Let me name some of the ways.
1st - On the pricy side $20 for what they called their Big New Yorker Pizza which was 6 regular size slices of pizza.
2nd - Small lobby full of disgruntled people. It was a poor atmosphere.
3rd - Preparation took twice as long as quoted.
4th - Not a single person handling food or packaging materials in the kitchen were wearing any gloves.
5th - Employees seemed miserable, uncaring and not the most helpful.
6th - Pizza looked like trash in a box! Not cut, seriously deformed and in no way eye appealing.
7th - We left before realizing that we did not even get what we ordered and paid for.
8th - Breadsticks were cold and not well prepared as well.
For an additional slap in the face we actually tipped them over 10% for an in store pick-up. After speaking with the manager his only recourse was to say, sorry. No refund, no coupons, no incentive to ever come back to this location of which I would not dare consider. All three strikes were giving in one visit! Your out Denton Pizza Hut. If you are considering this location do yourself a favor and avoid it. Read some of the other reviews as well. Such a shame that the Pizza Hut Corporation would let a franchise ruin...
Read moreUpdate (5/2024): We ordered from here and had it delivered. The delivery guy messed up big time and gave us someone else's order. The establishment was wonderful about it. They corrected the order (remade it and gave us free breadsticks). They have also gotten a good groove worked out. The place is still small, but they seem to have a good system in place to address supply and demand.
Original (11/2023): This is going to be set up for failure because of greed on part of ownership/management. This is too small a space for all they expect their workers to do: in person orders, phone orders, app orders, curbside, and door dash! It's a subpr experience (waiting 2 hours for pizza that should take 20-30 min and getting the wrong breadsticks) but I can only blame the workers but so much given the amount od orders they have to fill and the limited resources (ovens, pizza, space) to do it in a timely fashion. Given how expensive Pizza Hut is, probably won't be returning for at least 3 months until they can get some sort of order. Waiting 2 hours for a pizza and getting the wrong breadsticks in this inflation is just...
