If you’re in search of authentic Mexican food in Colorado, don’t overlook Los Carboncitos just because it’s nestled in a nondescript shopping center. This place is a true culinary treasure! From the moment you step inside, the vibrant atmosphere and warm hospitality make you feel right at home. We had the pleasure of being served by Rosie, whose attentiveness and friendliness enhanced our dining experience.
The menu boasts a wide variety of traditional dishes, each bursting with flavor. On my first visit, I was hesitant to judge too quickly, but after several visits, the consistency in the quality of food and service is commendable. Whether you’re craving tacos, enchiladas, or something more exotic, Los Carboncitos delivers with excellence. Don’t miss out on their drinks selection either; it complements the meal perfectly.
In conclusion, Los Carboncitos offers a taste of true Mexican cuisine that’s well worth a visit. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience. Highly...
Read moreI ordered a to go meal and a drink while I waited. Twenty minutes later, I had my now cooling food and still no drink, at which point I decided to cut my losses and simply leave.
This place is routinely slow even when not that busy, and this last demonstration of blatantly ignoring customers who have been waiting patiently for their food and drink was the last straw for me. There are many excellent restaurants in this area that don't treat customers the way that this place does.
When I attempted to call in and relay this to management, the very person who had not tended to me at all answered and refused to let me speak with management. What a joke. Save yourself the headache of this place.
EDIT: After posting this, management issued their response and encouraged me to email them, which I did. They haven't followed through in any way.
I stand by my initial assessment that this place isn't worth any of what I have...
Read moreFantastic! Huge portions. Great prices. I got the smothered steak burrito. Now, their green chili looks red but this isn't the first place that ive seen that. And they are a little skimpy with it so I had to order a side, which was a great idea anyway because it is tasty. They give you endless chips and salsa with five different kinds of salsa. .. all very hot! This Mexican't couldn't hang but my Cousin and Dot enjoyed them. The chorizo queso dip is a must have with their homemade corn tortillas. YUM!!! The staff was very friendly and they seemed to know that their food was damn good.
The food was so good that we forgot about the scary location but keep that in mind because it is my understanding that there was a shooting later that night very near by. If you go at night I suggest going in a group, park where you can see your car and be able to get to it quickly...
