I came here to study, I found a spot and I plugged my computer in. And I like to get settle before looking at the menu. But instead I get a very rude “you have to buy something to stay in the lobby” from an older lady worker. Who automatically assume I won’t buy anything, I wonder why that is? Because there was a white person who didn’t have any Starbucks on her table and she wasn’t getting harassed.
It didn’t stop there, I ordered through the app because as stated I was studying and didn’t want to break that attention. I was approached yet again, asking if I ordered through the app and I replied yes.
I thought the harassment was over then I was approached yet again, and this time they brought my stuff to me. If it was under different circumstances I wouldn’t have mind having table service. But I usually buy something at the end of my study session, and I was only in this Starbucks for a max of 15 mins and in those 10 minutes I was harassed every 3 minutes it seemed like. I get it’s a policy to buy something but these workers don’t get paid enough to harass someone who is simply just studying.
Not to mention the music is super loud and their internet is terrible. If I’m being forced to pay to be there and be harassed, they should at least lower the music to create a less chaotic atmosphere.
I didn’t know they offered table side service, sucks they don’t get tipped to bring things that are for picked up orders to tables.
Anyways I wouldn’t recommend coming to this location, unless you like being approached every second like they’re salespeople. I hope they’re getting commissioned for the harassment I...
Read moreWow, I rarely write reviews like this but had by far the worst ever experience at a Starbucks anywhere today. Ordered online on Saturday 21 Sep at 315pm, went to pick up 20 min later and saw only one drink was ready. Stood there waiting for one of them to ask me if I needed help but one of them (larger African American woman who I think was the “manager”) glanced at me and then looked away. After I continued waiting she finally said verbatim “what do you want” as if I was not supposed to be there and was inconveniencing her (I hadn’t even said a single word at that point). I told her one of the drinks was missing and she waved her hand at the barista and said verbatim “she’s probably making it so just wait like you’re supposed to”. I was absolutely shocked by the sheer rudeness of this woman, she didn’t even ask what the drink was or what I was missing. Eventually the barista came over and I mentioned to her I was missing a drink and it was apparently over in the drive thru area already ready. If the “manager” had asked me what I was missing, she could have used her brain to figure out that it had already been made. Furthermore, the lids on the drink smelled heavily of cleaning chemicals which makes me think they handle them after touching cleaning supplies which is a serious food safety violation…. The baristas seemed nice enough but the overall mood in the store seemed depressed and I have a feeling the “manager” is a big reason why the work atmosphere is so poor….Starbucks really needs to look into this because this is not how customers...
Read moreI came in for a study session and unfortunately, the area I wanted to sit at was dirty and had trash left behind. I completely understand that customers don’t always clean up after themselves and that the team may be busy. When I asked one of the baristas for a rag to clean it myself, he was kind and apologetic and said someone would take care of it.
However, instead of coming to the table I had specifically asked help with, the employee he relayed the message to cleaned several other empty tables nearby and didn’t even acknowledge me or the area I needed cleaned. I had to approach her myself and ask for the wet wipes she had in her hand. I told her it was okay and that I could clean it myself since I could tell they were busy. She handed me the wipe but didn’t offer to help or return afterward. I ended up wiping down the table and picking up the trash myself.
What made it more disappointing is that I typically order a drink when I come to Starbucks to study, but due to the lack of service and the energy in the store, I didn’t even feel like spending money there. It left a bad taste in my mouth. It’s really unfortunate because many of us come to Starbucks to get work done or escape distractions at home—but when the environment is uninviting and customer service feels slow or indifferent, it defeats the...
