I visited coriander on 12/18/2023 . The reviews raved about this Indian restaurant and we had to try.... Someone even mentioned it was better than Dallas Indian restaurants so that gave us very good expectations but unfortunately the restaurant disappointed us... I come from Austin, Texas and visit Dallas almost once a month just for the Indian food options...so I can attest that this restaurant's food is very bad when compared to Dallas (not that I am focused on it, I just wanted a good experience).... The restaurant caption is the flavors of India...but it should have been flavors of Americanized India...this statement is not coming from me, it came from our server by name 'Nirvaya'. I ordered masala chai but when I tasted it, it seemed like normal chai or regular tea...when I asked him to confirm if I ordered masala chai or regular tea, he said this is masala chai. I said I didn't taste any flavors such as cinnamon, cloves, green cardamom etc. which are usually used in making masala chai (refer recipes in Google) he said that's how the recipe is given to them it might have green cardamom. He also mentioned this is Americanized Indian.. it is Indian restaurant but Americanized Indian cuisine were his exact words...We understand if that's the recipe handed to them... We left it at that... The starters chilli paneer, Punjabi samosa were great in taste and we enjoyed eating them... Then came the main course of 1 coriander bullet naan, 1 garlic cheese naan and Gobi Tikka masala with rice. While we were ordering, our server never asked for spice levels. Gobi Tikka masala turned to have sweet tones instead of spicy like the name suggests (Tikka means spicy) ... We were too afraid to ask why it's sweet lest we get an answer of that's how their recipe works...the server came and asked if we will order anything else, we said no and he left without another word and sent the check to our table with someone else... But he went to our neighboring table and asked the family there if the spice level was okay and when they said no he brought them hot sauce...I don't know why the same kind of service wasn't extended towards us.... I was polite through the whole chai ordeal but he was rude... Even my husband who has lived here for a long time didn't understand why he was rude to us and if we did anything to instigate that behavior... We are foodies and try out different restaurants and I always give reviews to the ones that impress me... This is my first time giving such a negative review to a restaurant because of the way they treated us. If the restaurant can prove anything I said is false or wrong, I am ready to publicly post my apology and delete this review. The server hurt us and we are completely dissatisfied by the service provided to us. One star was for starters One star was for naans One star was for the server who came at regular intervals asking if we would like...
Read moreToday 5/22/25, was my husband and I's first time eating at the Coriander Resturant in Denver, CO, and I mean to tell you ..... we were blown-away by the wonderful flavors of both of our meals and appetizer's. We ordered the Curry Chicken and the Chicken Tikka Masala and an order of their Achari Wings appetizer and the Gobi Manchurian Cauliflower appetizer, and I'm telling you it was to die for. The chicken is so moist and nice thick pieces of chicken in a wonderfully spiced Curry Sauce and same with the chicken in the Tikki Masala Sauce, which both order's came with Jasmine or Basmati Rice. Oh my gosh, you have to order these items when you go there, they are so wonderfully flavorful, just delicious. Then as we finished our dinner and appetizer's we noticed the dessert's, which were Tiramisu and a Pistachio Ricotta Cake, the picture looked so good, but we were so full from the dinner and appetizer's, so we decided to get them to go so we could eat them later on tonight, we figured if they were as delicious as the dinner and appetizer's were then the dessert's were surely to be Awesome too. We are sure to go back again to try more wonderful things on their menu and it was all worth the price of the bill. I definately recommend Coriander's, highly. Thank you Samjhana P. our server and her cook and staff, for your kindness, patience with all our menu questions and for that AWESOME dinner and appetizer, and I'm sure the (dessert's) too. We'll be seeing you...
Read moreThis restaurant changed my whole opinion of not liking Indian food & now I'm addicted 🤪 Pictured: Garlic naan, Chicken Tikka, Chicken 65, Lamb Vindaloo and Saffron Rice. We've gotten delivery many times. Always hot and timely. Had one hiccup once and they went above and beyond with correcting it. We've had good service each time we've dined. Can't go wrong with lamb or chicken for the Vindaloo and Masala Vindaloo is insanely hot which the hubby loooves. The Masala has a yummy heat. This meal and garlic, cheese naan is my absolute favorite. Our newest addiction is the Chicken 65. I call it chicken crack. This item can be mediocre but most times out of this world. We still add it to every order for sure. Our newest try was the Corriander Bullet Naan. It's got quite the bite. Nothing beats the garlic and cheese naan though. If only they added corriander to that. You have to try the Saffron Rice at least once and you probably won't go back to plain rice. Leftovers get even better. I don't think I could cheat on this restaurant with another Indian restaurant. It is that good! We've tried all the desserts and weren't too impressed but everything else has been delicious. Glad they are so close and we love treating...
