Matthew or whatever his name needs to be fired!!!
We ordered our Subway sandwich through the app. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly staff member. Matthew, as he introduced himself, was preparing our sandwiches. My girlfriend asked Matthew if he could add more banana peppers to her order. He responded by arguing with her, insisting that he had to follow the instructions on the receipt. Despite the receipt clearly stating a request for more banana peppers, Matthew counted out only eight and claimed that was the maximum amount he could add. My girlfriend questioned why he couldn’t add more, and he blamed his boss for the restriction. He repeatedly emphasized the importance of adhering to the receipt.
I explained to Matthew that I had worked at a Subway a long time ago and that if a customer requested extra ingredients, it would be acceptable unless it required additional charges. I assured him that I would inform the customer about the extra cost. However, instead of apologizing or cooperating, Matthew responded with a snarky and rude comment, claiming that I would no longer help him. Throughout the entire sandwich-making process, he remained rude and dismissive.
Matthew counted out only eight banana peppers, claiming that was the maximum amount allowed. When my girlfriend asked if she could pay for more, he refused, stating that he was done. He stormed off, leaving my girlfriend feeling bad for his coworker.
Matthew’s behavior was unacceptable, and I believe he should not be working in customer service or a customer-facing establishment. If you search for reviews of this Subway location, you’ll find that I’m not the only one who has had issues with this particular employee.
Furthermore, our sandwiches were subpar. It seemed like they had skipped out on essential ingredients, as other Subway locations serve much better sandwiches. We paid $35 for what felt like a half-sandwich in a foot-long.
After this terrible experience, I’m struggling to understand why I should continue to go to Subway. I’ve worked in retail and the service industry for over 40 years, and I’ve never encountered a more rude individual in my life. I strongly advise terminating this individual’s employment. However, it appears that in the past six months, he has been involved in multiple customer complaints. Despite these issues, he continues to work at the establishment, which I believe will prevent his termination. Consequently, my girlfriend intends to contact the establishment to seek a refund for the extremely unpleasant experience we had last night. I sincerely hope that no one else will ever encounter such a...
Read moreI went here not that long ago and the experience was absolutely HORRIBLE! There was a guy and a girl working behind the counter, who had major anger issues and were very disrespectful towards their customers. My mom placed an order for 4 sandwiches for my family but it wasn't working, therefore, our only option was to order it separately. I walked in to get the first order because it said it was done, the guy gave me so much attitude and even rolled his eyes at me when he handed me the bag. I politely said, "Thank you". 20 minutes later, while we were waiting, my mom said that the second order was done. As I walked in, I tried explaining to the guy in the front that there was a malfunction on the app and we had to separate the order and even apologized. (Even though I shouldn't have, had I known he'd be even more disrespectful) He rolled his eyes again saying it wasn't true and the order wasn't in the system, not even confirming it on the computer. I told him I could get my mom's phone to show him that I wasn't lying, he continued to ignore me. I decided to then walk out of the subway out of realization he didn't care for the order. Frustrated, I explained the situation to my mom, who then went inside to only be insulted and still not receive our sandwiches. She asks to speak to the manager, who then refuses to give the male employee's or her name out of spite to help him. To which she then responds to my mom by saying, "It doesn't matter right now". The same girl 'supervising' rolled her eyes and began to look at where the sandwich orders were and started to make the sandwich, while still continuing to make insults at my mom. (Meaning the guy WAS able to see the order the whole time) My mom was then told by the girl, "Aren't you going to thank me for making your sandwiches?". Overall, we were not rude or disrespectful in any manner and did not deserve to be treated like this in any way. WE WILL NOT BE COMING BACK TO THIS LOCATION DUE TO THE ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! -1000/10 DO NOT...
Read moreHonestly I love this place and will leave a good review too. HOWEVER, the older guy making sandwiches, he’s one of the newer faces I’ve seen here since February. He’s RUDE RUDE RUDE. I’ve seen him tell women they didn’t tell him to add that when he forgets something. Today he told me he toasted my sub when it was warmed up. My foot long meatball sub was soggy and broken into quarters from how soggy it was as if it had been sitting their for hours and it wasn’t. The bag was completely soaked through as well. When I unwrapped it in front of him the paper was stuck and fused into the bread and looked like someone stomped on it. After I asked him kindly to remake it, He said “what’s wrong with it” “I’m not understanding the problem” “it is toasted” “well we are out of lettuce now so we can’t add that” out of lettuce at subway LOL. I’m not gonna pay for a soggy nasty sandwich I eat 3x’s a week if it looks like that, I’m NOT A DOG. He then proceeded to help the four customers in line before getting to me. (I’m on my lunch break). After giving it to me he followed up with “sorry it took that long, we are obviously busy”. (No you wanted to be rude and put me last) If you’re busy and have a customer with a problem you help the customer with the problem. This is customer service and if you aren’t here to do that then that what are you here for. I won’t come back here as long as he is here. My experience was completely ruined when he could’ve been nice, understanding, and made it right when it was WRONG. This is in regards The 30-40 year old guy with short hair, the piercings on his ears, and tattoos who talks back to...
