Tortas ATM — Restaurant in Denver

Up early and looking for a quick breakfast place to eat on the run. L👀k what I found. Right off the main road, hidden is this cute Mexican restaurant. 😋 Parking was a little difficult to do and they were already busy. I walked in and the restaurant is a lot bigger inside then it appears and so colorful. I loved it❣ I had to stop in and see what they had to offer for breakfast. Breakfast burritos 🌯 were on the menu. First time having a breakfast burrito and I was not disappointed. I'm so glad I only ordered one (1). I ordered the bacon 🥓 and egg burrito. This burrito was packed with so many different flavors. It was heavy, temperature hot, a mild spice loaded with potatoes 🥔, egg 🥚 and bacon. I couldn't even eat the entire burrito. The price is reasonable and the burrito was perfect for on the go traveling.

I really want to like this place more, because it has such a great menu and potential. I got a bacon breakfast burrito and I had to pull out HUGE pieces of fat and gristle (see photo). I don’t understand how someone could be making this and think to themself, “this looks good. I should leave these giant pieces of fat in here, the customer will want to eat them I’m sure”. Way too much potato compared to other ingredients too. Would be 5 stars if they upped the meat quality and nailed the proportions. Green salsa and the tortilla was incredible, the rest- sub par.

They also charged a high credit card fee which was like 20% of cost of the burrito.

Any restaurant should hold the standard of “if it doesn’t look appetizing and edible, don’t serve it” and this place unfortunately didn’t do that...

I have been going here for years however on November 26, 2023 at approximately 9:12 am I came in to sit down, have coffee and eat a smothered burrito. When ordering I told the server three times (I am fluent in spanish as I lived two years in Juarez, MX) that i wanted to eat in the restaurant, tipped $5 cash and wrote a tip for $5.07 on the credit receipt at the counter before going to sit at a table. After about 10 minutes wait she brought the food to me in a TO GO container instead of on a plate and brought the food for the table next to me their food on non to go plates.
