Benny's Pizza — Restaurant in Deptford Township

If you want excellent food and service you must try Bennys pizza! The food here is outstandimg! So much hard work and dedication goes into what makes Bennys a five star Italian restaurant. You need to explore and try some of the dinners! I have been going to Bennys for years! The owners are the kindest, warm and caring people youll ever meet. It makes me mad to see a review by karen minix thats cruel and the only one of its kind trashing a business the way she did. If youre going to be food blogger or critic or a Yelper, which I am usually, theres a way to go about it that doesnt hurt a business. Everyone knows if food isnt up to your standard and you ordered take out, give the business a call and ask for mgt. Then if mgt is more than happy to replace the order which in Benny's restaurant they will move heaven and earth to make good on ANYTHING you arent happy with then thats a resolution and deserving of 4 stars. Dont tash a business, give them a chance! Its not unusual to get a sandwich or dish that may not be perfect to ones palate but most businesses are willing to make good. Just got a large cheese pie well done. The pie looks as if it was sitting out to be sold by the slice n it didn't sell until I ordered it then it looks like they did the old trick of adding fresh cheese and putting it back in the oven to sell to me. It had that orange look to the cheese underneath the new coating of cheese and there was so much cheese u think I asked for extra extra cheese. The cheese didn't have any blackened marks from the pizza being well done but the crust was well done but not the cheese because they couldn't cook a reheated pie well done or the crust would have burned as you bring the cheese to a well done state if they cooked it fresh well done the cheese would have little black spots not this pile of grease puddles. Thus used to be my favorite place to order from. But the past couple of times it has been disappointing. And tonight’s dinner was terrible. Two Italian platters which according to the menu came with Italian salad and garlic bread. Well the salad was literally just iceberg lettuce and nothing more. The garlic bread was a Kaiser roll cut from top to bottom and brushed with maybe some Italian seasoning. Certainly did not taste any garlic. The garlic bread used to be delicious as was the food. But not any more. I actually called them and asked if they were under new management. Sad to say but I don’t see us ever ordering from them again.
