Two Sweet Boutique — Restaurant in Deptford Township

Health and exercise person here but allow myself ice cream twice a week. Had a sudden craving for rich, creamy, fluffy cake type carbs about two months or more ago. Looked online and saw good reviews here at Two Sweet Boutique. Noticed the sign outside was smallish with tiny lettering so noted they should get a bigger one or people will just not see it and drive by. A week later, boom! ...they got a bigger sign. Awesome. Why? Because now lots more people will discover the MAGNIFICIENTLY DELICIOUS, SCRUMPTIOUS, PERFECTLY PERFECT bakery delights at 2 Sweet Boutique! I have not been able to stop coming in every week and boy have I had to up my cardio work to keep my suddenly " Not " 2 Sweet PHYSIQUE! Seriously now, the banana cupcakes!! ALL the cupcakes! The blueberry crumb coffee cake!!! Ughhh! The brownies!!! Everything in this decadent pastry heaven will FLOOR you into submission. The balance of flavors and textures are just INCREDIBLY PERFECT. I cook very well for 35 years or more and know my stuff and the precise combinations in these cakes and brownies and pastries is Scrumptdilyuscious!!!!! The sweetness, the moistness, the true natural flavors in the icing, the buttery richness, the levels, the proportion of smooth, creamy, fluffy, sweet, tart, crunchy, gooey is just MASTER CHEF 5 STAR TIER!! I mentioned this to the owners daughter Alex who apparently is the BAKER EXTRAORDINAIRE at this slice of pure heaven dessert boutique and she was so appreciative of the few honest compliments about her cupcake and coffee cakes that she ran inside and brought me giant chocolate chip cookie as a, "Thank you" gesture. What a complete doll. Totally unnecessary for her to do that but how sweet is that? She works her butt off in the kitchen there and obviously is a mega talented icon of a pastry chef but so importantly CARES that her clientele, her customers are HAPPY eating her pastry creations. THAT people, is why you should come to 2 Sweet Boutique. Of course because of the outstanding quality of every single item, but just as importantly because this family business, these owners CARE about doing the best work, the finest culinary dessert ART to make everyone who enters their friendly shop doors...HAPPY. I was really disappointed with my experience at Two Sweet Boutique in Deptford. My dad spent $17.50 for four small scoops of banana pudding, and while I appreciated that each was a different flavor, the portions were tiny and definitely not worth the price. On top of that, most of the flavors were almost indistinguishable. For example, the cookies & cream looked & tasted exactly like the original banana pudding with no noticeable difference, and the blueberry pudding had almost no blueberry flavor at all despite looking like it would. The Biscoff one was the only decent option, but even that was just a drizzle of cookie butter on top of regular banana pudding—not very special.

I also tried the crème brûlée cookie which I believe cost $4 or $6, and that was another letdown. While the sugar topping was nicely crystallized, the icing was overwhelmingly sweet, tasting like straight sugar rather than the creamy, vanilla-rich flavor crème brûlée is known for. The cookie itself was underbaked, far too chewy, and lacked flavor. For something that felt heavy in calories (like a Crumbl cookie), it didn’t deliver on taste at all.

Overall, the items looked nice but lacked flavor, quality, and value. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend Two Sweet Boutique, especially given the high prices and the fact that there’s so many other bakeries around that offer way better quality taste, for way...

Hands down one of the best bakeries in South Jersey. My dad met the owner of this bakery a couple years ago, and since then we have eaten the desserts here. The desserts here are very phenomenal. They all have a perfect amount of texture and flavor. The cookies are very soft, the brownies are very gooie, the small cakes are great, and my personal favorite dessert here is their monkey bread, which is what they are most famous for. All together very delicious. All of the desserts here have different themes and flavors such as peanut butter and jelly, Resse's peanut butter cup, and s'more, just to name a few. The staff here are very friendly, as well. I will give a warning to people who never been here before. This bakery does not serve large cakes or pies or anything like that. So, if you want to buy a cake or pie for a birthday or any kind of occasion, this is not the bakery you want to go to. If you want some sweets to snack on, this is the place you want to be at.
