Wendy's — Restaurant in Derby

I went to Wendy's tonight and order 2 crispy chicken sandwich meals with cheese. The transaction completed and charged my visa at 7:36. The person serving me at the window gave me my drinks and told me to pull up to the door.

1st red flag , there was absolutely no one else in line behind me so I didn't understand why I needed to even pull up.

2nd red flag, the first 5 mins go by and 2 cars finally pull in, order behind me and get their food at the window.

3rd red flag another 5 mins go by 2 more cars come, order and get their food right at the drive through, by the time I finally decided to go inside 20 minutes have passed it is now 7:56.

I go up to the front cashier and an older gentleman comes to the front and I proceed to tell him that I already went through the drive through over 15 minutes ago.

I know it wasn't this cashier that took my order and for all I know he has nothing to do with the drive through, yet he still goes to the back and asks about my order and I can hear another person go "Oh I see it right here",

Moral of the story is if you want to wait over 20 minutes to get your food come to this Wendy's drive through, and the icing on the cake is that they didn't even get my order right. I just wanted to leave at that point and didn't bother checking. I know it's just "fast food" but when you are spending 26 dollars on 2 meals you, you at least want to get the order, and not be forgotten in the drive through!!

I usually avoid this Wendy's and go to the one in Shelton which is just maybe 5 mins away from this one but tonight was the worst its ever been and just solidifies itself to me as one of the worst Wendy's you can go to period.

0/10 would never come back again.

P.S the older gentleman who they sent to the front to run the cashier was the only nice person about anything and actually apologized for it, everyone else acted like they wanted be anywhere but there, and didn't even want to acknowledge...

I WENT THRU THE DRIVE-THRU AND GET MY ORDER OF 2 BIGGIE BAGS AND TO DRINK I ASK FOR 2 PINEAPPLE- MANGO LEMONADE AND THAT'S WAS THE PROBLEM. I DON'T KNOW IF THE GUY WAS NEW OR WAS IN A RUSH, IT WAS BUSY I UNDERSTANT. BUT THOSE LEMONADE WERE REALLY BAD, NO TASTE OF LEMONADE WE CAN ONLY TASTE THE WATER. I MAKE THE LINE AGAIN THRU THE DRIVE-THRU AND ASK IN A NICE WAY TO PLEASE TO HAVE 2 OTHER LEMONADE BECAUSE I UNDERSTAND THAT IF YOU NEW AND YOU NERVOUS ANYBODY CAN MAKE A MISTAKE. THE GUY TOLD ME TO PULL FOWARD THAT HE GOING TO TAKE CARE OF IT. I PULL FOWARD AND I WAIT. LIKE 15 MINUTES LATER OTHER EMPLOYEE CAME OUT WITH AN ORDER FOR OTHER CUSTOMER. I ASK HIM AFTER HE DELIVERY THE ORDER TO THE OTHER CUSTOMER THAT I WAS WAITING FOR THE LEMONADE OF COURSE I EXPLAINED WHAT WAS GOING ON. HE REPLIED THEY WAS REALLY BUSY TAKING CARE OF THE CUSTOMERS. AND I ASKED HIM . WHAT I SUPPOSED TO DO ? I MAKE THE LINE TWICE AND I ALREADY PAID FOR MY ORDER . AT THE END I LEFT VERY DISAPPOINTED 😞 . I SPENT MORE THAN AN HOUR. NO...

I’ve tried giving this particular Wendy’s a shot for 4 years and this time was my last. Every time I get food here, it is absolutely repulsive. This last time I got food for my husband and I. I ordered in the drive thru and brought it home. I live about 3 minutes away. I waited in line for about a half hour. The food was cold and rubbery. The buns were stale. The fries were cold and seemed old. The burgers were also cold and gross. The fountain soda was flat and watery and tasted nothing like coke (how does a restaurant manage to f-up coke)? I asked for a cheeseburger meal for my husband and he got something with a weird sauce. The chicken nuggets looked promising but the inside was cold and nasty chicken. I hope I don’t get sick since I took a bite of everything but threw it all out. Please think it over before going here because it doesn’t seem to be safe. How is this place still opened?
