This place could easily have five stars, but I'm going to list some pros and cons as to why I gave it three. Pros: The price of the food for the quality of food was extremely fair. The portion of food even for lunch menu was also very fair. The wait staff was friendly and looked family-owned which is always nice. It was very spacious and I did not feel like I was sitting on top of another family. Cons: My wife ordered a margarita and I ordered a Long Island iced tea, The price of both of those drinks was over $20. $20 is a lot for two drinks at lunch time. Both drinks were made by an inexperienced hand and tasted awful. Both glasses had visible dirt (or something) on them. (This is a big con) The restaurant smelled awful. We went from the front, to our table, to the bathroom and back to our table and you cannot escape the distinct smell of moldy roaches. It was not very busy in the store yet our food took a long time.
We probably won't go back but I will admit it was nice to see a Korean menu hidden in the Mexican restaurant and the beef bulgogi...
Read moreWe are doing work in DeRidder and found this place and decided to give it a try because not much is open due to Hurricane Laura. My husband and I LOVE mexican food. So, we were excited to see this place open...The people were very sweet and the restaurant as well as the bathroom was very clean. However, the food was not good at all. The red sauce tasted like ketchup and the enchiladas were incredibly soggy...The rice had a weird spice that I have never tasted before which reminded me of dirt. I am not trying to be rude at all, but none of us liked our food. The salsa tasted like something you would buy in a jar at the store. The sweet tea was good and the white queso was delicious. The chips were fresh and the service was good. I hate to leave a negative review because like I said the people were friendly, but the food...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible place! The staff is very rude and act like they don't want to do their job. When I got there, I asked for a table and the two waitresses were both trying to pass me off to the other. So finally I was seated. When I got my drink, the class was dirty and tasted like food from another meal or something. I asked for a new glass of tea and the woman offered my lemon instead. I said no and insisted on a new glass, which she finally brought. When I got my food, the waitress dropped my plate on the table and quickly walked away. The food was bland and covered in cheese, which is not how the menu described at all. The best thing in there was the Salsa that comes with the chips. Never again will I go back to...
