Flying J's Trucker Sandwiches w/ Fly Water! Umm...!
Just ordered a high rise, hot chocolate, and a water, for my drinks and 1 out of the 3 was sufficient! And nope wasnt the water either! To start the high rise was a 60⁰ room temp reminding me of drinking table water that has been out all day. If it's to be a cold drink then it should be that cold not luke warm simply cause it's cold outside! If its ordered has a hot drink then it should be at least to the temperature that sipping is how you must start the drink off. Not a chugging 3day old backpack drink temperature. Has for the rest of the drinks the hot chocolate was good and my daughter enjoyed it, thank god, her water on the other hand was not! The water had a fly stuck to the inside of the lid! How this could be considering the middile of wintering iowa is usually cold enough to put down any flying insect outside or inside and if you've got insects flying around your joint at the end of December then you've got a major infestation or your pulling your cups out of the trash to reuse them! No reason this should ever be experienced! After this I was definitely leery of trying my Turkey bacon spinach and swiss cheese, (on a hamburger bun) sandwhich, but seeings how I eat most lunches from a gas station, while I'm at work, I've had some sub-par sandwiches to say the least. So it couldnt be that bad. Wrong! It was two chews and a ah-chew spit! The thing had to of been from a Flying-J's freezer! It resembled nothing like the picture. Granted they rarely do but this was just a hamburger bun microwaved and garnished with some cheese and frozen spinach and middle of the grocery isle pre-cooked bacon! Save your self the agony, and skip this joint on your next...
Read moreI don't normally write reviews but I don't have a reason not to due tomy most recent experience. The reason is because I usually come here to do paperwork on a regular basis and at my last visit I accidentally left a pair of AirPod Max headphones there about 2 weeks ago. I was going crazy trying to find them and at my next visit, I asked if I left them there and if they were returned. At this point, I thought that they were forever lost and I felt that if anyone found them, they probably wouldn't have been returned. To my surprise the staff said that someone did returned them and after they questioned me about the color and how long ago I lost them, my headphones were returned. I just have to say that I truly appreciate the integrity of the staff that work there for keeping them there for as long as they did and questioning me to make sure that they were mine. THUMBS UP to all of the staff that work there!!!!!! Now, this is a nice place to meet, have coffee or do paperwok, etc. I truly hope the management appreciates the staff there becasue i sure do!!! This establishment definitely deserves your business!!! DON'T FORGET TO TIP THE STAFF!!!!!! Thank you again, STAFF!!!! I...
Read moreI love this Caribou so much that I won't get coffee anywhere else. My husband and I started coming only on Sundays back in the winter, but I had to crunch for a class in the early spring, so we started coming each evening throughout the week as well. I'm so glad that we did because we got to meet some of the closers, including Leslie! I can't speak for the hubby, but she's my favourite barista. While she was cleaning up one day she asked about what we do while we hang out here, and she listened to me talk her ear off about the class I was taking. She even asked me each week how it was going! It made me more excited to come back every evening so that I could share what I had learned with her. I finished the class back at the beginning of June, but we still come frequently during weeknights just to see her. There were a couple of weeks where we must've not synced up with her schedule because we didn't see her any, and it really wasn't the same. I was so happy when she came back!
I hope other people in the reviews give her a second chance, because she's really changed my experience at Caribou. We love you, Leslie! Can't wait to see your next...
