Overpriced. Terrible food.
I had high hope for my experience there. We called ahead and we’re able to get right in with no wait on a busy Saturday night. We were sat right away and greeted quickly. We were there for our anniversary and we split a bottle of house wine and ordered the bruschetta with Gorgonzola. It was different, but had good flavor.
My wife ordered the Olive Chicken with Caesar Salad. I ordered Chicken Marsala with house salad and creamy Italian dressing. I requested to sub pasta instead of mashed potatoes. Our server (who was very nice) made no issue. I could tell she was very busy and a little overwhelmed even for a clearly experienced server.
Here’s where it all went south. She forgot our salads and attempted to clear our table before we had our entrees. I advised we had not received our salads and knowing our entrees should be out soon, I requested to have then taken off.
Our entrees arrived and appeared fine. I took a few bites of mine and all I could taste was milk and flour. Very bland, if there was Marsala wine in it, it was barely a splash. The chicken was rubbery, flavorless, and had the consistency of having been boiled. I sent it back. Asked for nothing in return.
My wife’s had decent flavor, but the same rubber chicken.
I’m the end, still charged full price for my wife’s entree (even though we paid for a salad we did not receive). My entree was removed, we were offered a free desert. Not being willing to risk being subjected to some likely dry stale cake. I declined.
Never once did the owner or manager come greet or apologize. Though not expected, I see this as a courtesy.
In the end: overpriced, underwhelming, and I have zero desire to return. It didn’t help that apparently the owner was hosting some friends as there were 3 black suburbans from majestic limousines in the lot. One of which was taking 2 spots with zero regard for others.
$85 of my life I will...
Read moreI ordered Chicken Soto as my main dish. I didn’t care about any other sharing foods like the cheese bread and pizza that my husband ordered. I am not a bread or pizza fan. But I am an anything chicken and pasta fan. The Chicken Soto was too sour (too much lemon added) and also bland. I just ate a little of it and just kept chatting to our friend while they finish their foods. The receptionist came over to our table to ask if I want it boxed and since I am not planning to eat more, so I let her. Then she also approached my husband and our friend who are still eating, asking if they want their foods boxed. Of course no, because they are still eating! So they continued to eat… But then our waitress then came to our table and told us that our to go pizza is coming soon. Then before leaving our table asked my friend twice if she wants her foods boxed. My friend started to get annoyed. She was asked already 3x that time!!! My husband and our friend worked on their foods while continuously chatting then our waitress came back with our to go pizza. She asked for the 4th time if my friend wants her foods boxed! She said no, still working on it. She ordered full meat lovers pizza so she still have half of the box left. We thought we are good but our waitress came to our table again and said, I am very sorry but we have big groups coming and we need this table. Like what???? Are you asking us to leave???? That was sooooo rude!!!! We were just there 60mins and the foods didn’t really come quick. Other guests who came before us were still there. Why would you book a large group and seat them at the table next to us and make us leave early? That was sooooo rude!!! I still gave 1 star for the service but they need to work on getting organized with their booking! After all, we paid for our foods which were not at all cheap! And even for the bad experience, my husband still tipped 20%! I guess, last night will...
