Hardee’s — Restaurant in Des Moines

Went through the drive thru. I knew I had to special order some sandwiches so I tried to go slowly. I ordered the monster burger combo, whatever number that is, NO MAYO. While I was saying no mayo the worker was too busy asking if I wanted the sandwich or the meal and wasn't listening. Then I ordered the big cheeseburger combo, whatever number that is, but I wanted NO CHEESE, and ONLY KETCHUP AND MUSTARD. Fast forward now, after I pay I pull around to drive away and had the good sense to check the sandwiches. The Double Hamburger only ketchup and mustard was fine but the Monster burger had mayo when I ordered it without it. Undoubtedly messed up because the employee is so intent on asking questions they dont listen. I had to take it back inside to get a new one since my son will not eat mayo. None of that would've bothered me so much but the employee I talked to inside demands to see the receipt. I said I ordered it no mayo regardless of the receipt, if I hadn't my son would've immediately been angry at me, I guarantee I said it. Then employee says "It mustn't have come through our headset I guess". I had a unusual fast food experience today. In today's environment of employees not showing up for work and on their cell phones, I enjoyed watching the energy and focus of old school customer service!! I truly feel my patronage was appreciated and I was greeted with a welcoming hello, fast accurate service and a "have great day" as I was leaving. It was enthralling to watch as these young people consistently took care of their customers and when not busy, cleaning the store and not on their phones. I even saw a young gentleman, when not busy go out and pick up the parking lot and it didn't appear prompted. I ask for the manager and thanked Andre' as it was obvious his tutelage and lead by example was creating a high energy of enjoyment not only for his staff, but to his customers. BK next door was closed for breakfast due to staffing. If you want to a good start to your day and leave with a positive feeling of our younger generation....visit this location on Highway 70 for breakfast. It...

I'm only rating it like this cause the food is good.....but the service tho. Man...i was in line. In the drive thru for 40 mins. I know and i do get they might not have enough staff to get thru things. But the time i personally went to them every time been over 20 mins. Nothing fast food about this location. The food is always good besides a couple of occasions when i got cold fries and sandwiches. I mostly go for chicken. But 4 the past 3 months my food has been luke warm. Yeah i know why keep going to a place that does that? I get it. But.....if they don't know and see what there faults are how will they know? I ike hardees and the deals as food they have no doubt.
