A wonderful new cocktail bar in a historic neighborhood filled with small local businesses. The space has a cozy, basement “speakeasy” feel with retro 70s-inspired decor that perfectly sets the vibe. I love how they collaborate with nearby shops, like Divine Times, which displays vintage clothing on mannequins throughout the bar. The drinks are creative and delicious, with a thoughtful selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. If you’re looking for something to snack on, the cheese and chocolate fondues are delicious just make sure to arrive early, as they’re limited and can sell out! Overall, great staff, great menu, great atmosphere, and a fantastic location. A must-visit spot!

Had a great night here with a friend! KC the Flame Master turned Drink Master was an attentive and fun server, as was Meg! We split the cheese fondue and each enjoyed a number of different delicious cocktails. The environment was fun as was the decor. Worth a different than usual night out for fondue, or just drinks! Just fondue it!

If I could give this spot more than 5 stars, I would. The drinks are spectacular. The fondue was to DIE for. The place is in a basement but it doesn't feel weird and cavey, it feels like your coolest friend's living room with a bar. They're gonna get sick of me. Also, the fondue smells AMAZING. 🤭

We stopped there after my birthday dinner for a drink and to see what this was like. I grew up in Highland Park. My mother managed the Park Fair Record Shop for about 17 years. I worked there, too. It was like a home away from home. Chuck's Pizza was a favorite! My wedding cake came from the Highland Park Bakery. I remember Klein's Department Store, too. I bought my husband a powder blue leisure suit there and blue suede shoes back in the 70's! Memories...lol! I was so surprised to find out the Highland Underground was once Klein's! We were there on a week night and they weren't busy, but the drinks were good, friendly waitress, and the 70's decor was fun! We got a kick out of the phone on the wall at our table and the prank that followed when the waitress told me to answer it. I'd like to go back and try their...

Received the worst service from staff I’ve ever experienced in hospitality. Myself and one of my friends ordered the same drink and when they arrived they were completely different drinks. Instead of trying to make it right, the waitress started arguing with us, and it took considerable convincing from my friend until the waitress agreed to have the bar remake it, then she charged us for the remake. After this incident our original waitress avoided our table for over an hour and a half, and a different waitress started serving us. She was also incredibly rude and had a horrible attitude.

Outside of the horrible service, the drinks were mediocre. I was excited to visit and I was very disappointed! I will not be returning to or recommending Highland...
