Zenko Tea — Restaurant in Des Moines

Edited review: I love the new owners and how they have made changes to this boba shop- it is now Zenko Tea! I die for the avocado smoothie, it's so addicting. They have a lot of boba options too. I love it and one of the owner Cua, she is so sweet and hardworking. They do events across the DSM metro and I think that is SO UNIQUE. The atmosphere and vibe is to fall in love. The decor is so cute and there are games to play too. Kpop lovers, cake lovers, macaroon lovers, and of course, boba lovers- this is your one stop shop.

Original review: The first time I came to Eden Tea, the service was good and fast. The lady that made the milk tea was kind too! Pricing is affordable which I did like. However, the second time I visited this place was a negative experience. Today, 08/27/21, I went to buy Honey milk tea & Classic milk tea. He used a utensil to blend/swirl both of my drinks and what surprised me is that he put that utensil in his mouth to taste the drink after swirling then put it back into my drinks to swirl again. That disgusted me due to him being unbothered about sanitation especially during the time of covid. I went home and dumped my drinks. I will never come back to this place…I hope that none of the workers at Eden Tea hasn’t done that to any...

Zenko Tea has always been very nice and they always have very good customer service every time I go. They honestly have the BEST bubble/boba tea in the Des Moines, IA area. They are always quick. I like that they are Vietnamese since my family and I are also Vietnamese and they work very hard. They go to the Top with always giving away free drinks and with their punch card system, when they don't have to. They take money away from their business to always give away free drinks to people and that shows they do it for the customers. I also love their aesthetic and games in their stores. I’m from central Illinois and when I came to Des Monies I was looking for a Boba spot. And Zenko fell right to me. Its atmosphere at the des monies one is so quant, cozy, and friendly. The one in west des monies is still friendly and cozy with a modern art style absolutely beautiful. I make the four hour drive as often as I’m able to because the workers are wonderful and honestly the drinks in my opinion are the best I’ve had. It never taste bad no matter what I order. Other boba shops I have been to their toppings would be too small and too hard but zenko just gets it...
