BYOB-BYOB-BYOB Now that that's out of the way. They have glasses for your wine & beer and mixes for your spirits. This is a very small and intimate restaurant. I would suggest making reservations on the weekends. I think it only holds up to about 80 people in total. In the summer that might be different cause, I think they might have had a couple of tables outside. We went in January on a Wednesday at about 6:30 pm and were seated right away. Nadia, you were the best server. I realize it being the middle of the week you had some free time. Thanks so much for letting us enjoy your company. Not to mention, what a wonderful server you are. Thank you, our order was perfect. We started with the Mild Tableside Guacamole. Mashed avocados and brought to our table. Had two deep-fried flour tortilla chips on top, nice touch. Since I like heat, but my other two friends were more on the mild side, they gave me a cup of thinly sliced Jalapeno pieces. Dipped my chip in the Guacamole and then again in the Jalapeños and added some salsa. Deeeeelicious and just perfect heat for us all. We also had the Soup & Salad. The soup was Poblano and the side salad was a healthy selection of arugula, red leaf, and chard lettuce. WoW! Also topped with a few croutons. The dressing (house & I didn't get the name) also has a good flavor. Never even seen that great of salad even in a ritzy steak house. For our main course, we had Beef Enchiladas and Steak Quesadillas. I had Mahi Mahi and we all had beans & Red rice. Everything was cooked perfectly. The steak was as tender as my Mahi Mahi. The sauce had a great flavor. As you know I looked around the restrooms and this one was EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN The vent in there (even though it was an older building) was clean and I was so happy to see that. The rest of the restaurant is also very clean. It was delightful walking around in there. So glad we came here. We all left very satisfied. Thank you to the owner & management. 4/12/25 Excellent Alambres Hala steak Kabo and new dinette table settings! 5/24, El Asador is now doing door dash! Excelente! 3/29/23 El Asador has a new menu for lunch. They are closed Mondays but serve lunch Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00am to 2:00, They close after 2:00 to switch over to dinner entrees that begin at 4:00pm. Lunch Speciality is for tacos so we gave them a try! As usual excellent with generous portion of beans and rice as well. OLE!! Two tacos of many varieties with rice, beans and corn chips all for under $10 bucks! Are you kidding me! 2/14/23 Valentine’s day at El Asador. We had 6:00 pm reservations and the place was packed! Alex quickly seated us and we were memorized by the specials on fancy placards on every table. Since it is a BYOB we splurged on a few glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon. We always tip extra when we do this. The special for me was Surf and Turf. Absolutely mouth watering Lobster tail that was removed, sautéed and place back into its shell. This entree coupled with his famous Halal steak topped with a Roasted Poblano pepper was magnificent. There was was also a generous portion of his grilled seasonal vegetables green beans . The Salad was fresh, cold and served quickly out to the table by Alex. The other special was fried lamb chops, also new. Those will be in the radar next time, My wife ordered Mexican flavored Halal steak Shisk kabob known as Alambres served over white rice with a side of borracho bean stew. For soup we enjoyed Mama Garza's delicious Poblano. Life is good. Chef Luis has added many variations of Lobster as well. So much good food, so little time. Reservations highly recommended as they stay extra busy with Halal meats served with such flavors.

My friend wanted Mexican, and then said she wanted Steak. I thought both sounded great so I’m so glad I stumbled across this hidden gem. We made reservations which from what I could tell is highly encouraged. Ample street parking and a parking lot in the back. There’s a beautiful mural in the back lot as well painted in 2015 from an artist on the east coast. The restaurant is small and quaint, very cute and no frills. Alma was our amazing waitress. They also allow you to BYOB without a corking charge so long as it’s not hard liquor. The Guacamole En La Mesa was amazing and some of the freshest I ever had. From what I’ve seen they usually serve it table side, however on a busy Saturday evening it’s totally understandable for them to simply make it fresh in the back or towards the side to not be in the way of everything. Our waitress made sure we never ran out of chips at our table too. The soup of the day was a Creamy Poblano which was so flavorful. For entrees we ordered the Fajitas with Steak, Chicken, & Shrimp, the Ribeye Steak con Rojas, and I had to get the Filet Minion with Three Chili Butter Sauce. Everyone seemed to really enjoy their meal, and I can confidently say the Filet Minion is easily in my top 3 best Filets I’ve ever had. The Three Chili Butter Sauce really elevated the already great flavor of the Filet itself. Both steaks were perfectly charred on the edges, and cooked as ordered. Overall it was such an amazing experience and I already cannot wait to go back!

Finally! This isn't your average Mexican Restaurant! This is more like a Yucatan mama's home cooking type of place the sauces are complex with clean flavours, steaks and all meats are Halal, they only serve sodas/pop(but you can byob, beer or wine only please) yes they run out of avocados but if you bring a few if your own they'll gladly make it for you! My fav on the menu has to be Cuzuelas de Mariscos(think cippino but with Mexican flavours) the broth was deep, flavourful, complex and the seafood(he uses at 4 different kinds of seafood) was very fresh! This is a steakhouse and zi do suggest the Ribeye with this pablano sauce that'll have you licking your finger! Jus a friendly warning this is in Mexican town out of the way so don't think it's highend atmosphere, think more of going down to Abuelita's(affectionate term gor Grandmother) house for a hearty, yummy, smacking your lips type of meal. Very authentic, casual atmosphere, and be ready to eat good! Ine point taken off due to bad service, but it's the food that keeps me coming back for more!
