5*! I live in Farmington Hills Mi and had been searching and searching for this taco truck that I had tried out but forgot the name and location after all there's a taco truck on every other corner in SW Detroit, anyways the tacos were so flavorable and tasty that I said to myself oh yess jackpot but of course couldn't remember the location so I literally would go to SW once a week to find that 1truck no luck so I gave up.I started trying random trucks once a week and when I find a good this time I'm going to remember the location Detroit when I say I had to had tried at least 6 trucks all rating from 0☆ to maybe 2-3☆I'm not even exaggeration it was so bad where I had to stop trying and turn into a detective and one day I went out in search of this truck I remembered exactly what the guy looked like his face was stuck in my head so when I pull up to this truck it was a come to Jesus moments for me I found it and guess what they never disappoint my favorite taco is the beef head and yes I was afraid to try it but the guy told me that it's one of the most favorable taco the had and he was right but I'm also a fan of the AL Pastor my go to.Long story short I will come all the way from Farmington Hills and yes there ate Mexican restaurants all in between but nothing close to El...
Read moreI went to this truck during a mild hangover. And honestly, this place was a little underwhelming for me.
I ordered 3 quesadillas; 2 steak 1 chicken. For the steak quesadilla, the meat was cut up too fine for me. It wasn't to the point of ground beef, but I was hoping for more like thin strips. There was also too much cilantro and onions on them. There was so much that I am surprised that it all didn't fall in my lap when I was eating them. A small portion of the meat was gristle as well. They did give you grilled onions with them though, which I thought was nice. With that said, the steak could have used a little seasoning as well. Now as for the chicken quesadilla, A+! The chicken quality, the texture and the size was perfect.
Another thing that I liked was the orange sauce. It added so much flavor to these considerably bland quesedillas.
Now I will say that these quesadillas weren't small. They certainly filled you up. But I wouldn't say that they were a steal for what you pay for. It was $12, which is pretty standard if you ask me.
Overall, this place was okay. The chicken quesadilla was very good, while the steak quesadillas just...
Read moreI had Tacos el Caballo for my sons graduation party on June 26, 2021. They arrived promptly, set up and was ready to serve at 3:00 pm, the time that the party started. I can't say enough good, positive comments on them. The food was fabulous. I had approximately 75 to 100 people and got raves upon raves on how delicious the tacos were. About 4 people got the phone number off the truck to have them in the future at their events. I only have two disappointments though. That is I DID NOT like the way they cooked their beans. I was expecting refried beans and not whole beans. A few people said the beans were too salty. This is the only missing item for the entire experience are they should have refried beans and not whole beans. Also, I wish my guests would have had more of a variety and selection other than tacos such as tostada's, burritos, maybe some nachos and cheese. Other than that, I am 100 percent satisfied and would highly recommend them for an event. I will for sure call them in the future again!! Thank you so much for the wonderful experience and for the...
