Jerry's Pizza and Barbecue — Restaurant in Detroit

Ok first time trying Jerry's, let me put this out there.. I'm from the East Side so I know nothing about it, we don't have a Jerry's over there. But since I've been west everyone claims they have the best pizza in the city! Lol it's funny because you can't have the best pizza in the city if only one side of town knows about you 🤷🏽‍♂️ but hey that's just my opinion.. just like this review so back to it, let's start with i read the reviews first because why not lol and I saw comments stating that the pizza had very little to no sauce on it which is a pet peeve of mine. when it comes to pizza in like mine to have a nice balance of sauce and cheese. I don't want an all dough pizza which is what I got even after trying to be proactive and ordering extra sauce on mine after reading the comments. It said it right on top of the box "Extra Sauce " So that right there took me out the game, mine had very little to No sauce i honestly did not taste any. What they're known for is being very generous with the toppings is what I'm told. Yes they definitely overloaded it with ground beef but that's about it, there were no extra mushrooms, pepperoni's etc. The staff was fast and friendly.I didn't experience any rudeness or attitude for them as the comments suggested. Overall the pizza wasn't bad it was just okay, i only had a slice and a half it's definitely not one of those pizzas where I can just indulge and eat slice after slice. I had the supreme if I had to rate it 1 through 10 would probably give it a 4.5 will I try it again, ...

I was told high praises from my neighbor to order from here. I looked them up online and found this google profile. The "website" link on here forwards you to another "Jerry's Pizza" which is not associated with this location. I had no idea so I reviewed the menu off the "website" link. I noticed I couldn't order online and called the location. The person on the phone (who was slightly rude and was entirely apathetic that I could have called or even tried to make an order) explained to me that the website was not associated with their restaurant. I informed her that it is associated with their google profile page and she could've cared less. Anyhow, I asked her about their menu, which I could tell annoyed her. She let out a long sigh, and rudely and abruptly read over their menu. I ordered an 8" Philly cheese steak and a medium supreme pizza. She told me between 45-50 minutes for delivery. Delivery was almost two hours later. The Philly cheese steak was warm, had Italian dressing on it (I don't know why), and the medium supreme pizza arrived luke-warm. The Pizza was entirely covered with toppings, which would've been great if the pizza was cooked correctly, as it was cooked very rare. For my first experience with this place I'm definitely not impressed. I will more than likely not order from here again. ** I would like to add the pizza is so rarely cooked I could not eat an entire piece. My dog had no problem eating it though! I will have to cook this further to see if it's even...

As much as I talk about how good the pizza is I have had bad experiences with there fish up where they have gave me bad fish it was the seafood platter where it was 3 different kinds of fish and a few shrimps when I got the food it had a real strong fishy odor but just thinking it’s all different kinds of fish but when I got it home and opened it up the smell was not a good smell so me and my lady tried eating it I ate a lil piece and she ate a lil piece couldn’t eat much do to the smell and the taste not sure if it was all the fish but the fish stank and was old my lady had stomach pain the next day will not be eating here no time soon unless it’s just pizza I had the same experience with the chicken a lil time ago where it was the same thing smells old and got sick I called them about the chicken and they suggested to give us I guess a free meal saying they gone put our name in there book so when we ordered again but they never gave us that meal and we decided to order from them again this time I decided just to write a review sorry Jerry’s I really want to call the health department but I didn’t just get y’all food together up there hopefully and quit selling us that old food...
