I went to this Coney Island for a couple of days back to back 4 to be exact before and after work because the food was good. At first, everything was good. The food was fresh and hot. I guess it was too good to be true. I went back before my shift at work for a Greek salad with extra onions. I get to work, and on my first break, I'm looking forward to the same fresh salad I ordered the day before. To my surprise, there were NO onions. I was disappointed. I called and explained to the young lady that answered the phone. She asked my name, and I advised that it was not a call-in. I came through the drive-through. She asked if you wanted to come back. I advised that I was at work. She said okay and HUNG UP THE PHONE! I called back, and she put me on hold, and Jeff asked what time I came. In stated at 4, he then said next time you come, I'll give you onions no charge. I said, "Okay, thanks." So I actually went after work because I wanted a coney (Lite chili with EXTRA ONIONS) The girl that took my order said she could not honor what Jeff said because he didn't tell anyone about it, and they couldn't give away FREE FOOD!(I paid for something that I DID NOT GET) She said to come back on his shift (3pm to 12am) I said, "No problem." So after getting my coney combo that I ordered with, lite chili and EXTRA ONIONS(THAT I WAS CHARGED FOR AGAIN) Guess what, it was a coney with EXTRA CHILI AND VERY LITTLE ONIONS! I tried calling as I was still in the parking lot. No one answered, "I had to drive back around and wait again in line to get my coney. At which time my fries are now COLD!!...

My aunt's placed their orders and paid the cashier. I ordered two salads and a medium frozen drink. With food in hand we drove back to my mother's house. After my sister and I open the salads we notice that one of the salads were incorrectly prepared according to what was told to the cashier, also I did not have my frozen drink. We called the restaurant and informed the cashier of the missing drink and that one.of the salads wasn't correct. The cashier asked if we were coming back up there to get the frozen drink and that she did not charge us for chicken on the Greek salad. I informed the cashier that I would be back east on Friday. Original day was Tuesday. She took my name down for that date. Needless to say.on Friday I was not on any list and they refused to provide me with a frozen drink. Spoke with manager (Jimmy) stated cashier was not in, wouldn't be returning until Monday and he would call me personally. Didn't happen. The neighborhood is predominantly black, JOSEPH CONEY ISLAND sells product in our neighborhood and scam us out of what we pay for. I will not order anything from them again. I know I am not the only person they have scammed. Black People Wake up. Their money from us is being spent on big beautiful homes in Bloomfield, Novi and Farmington Hills. Stop cheating us. Read moreConvenient location, decent amount of parking. The woman taking the orders was pleasant, even friendly. Would be nice if the menu was visible anywhere expect behind the woman taking the orders. I assume standing and perusing it would incur the ire of many at peak times so I just ordered 2 Coneys - wanted 3 but @ 2 for 1 you get them in pairs only apparently - and had them in hand about a minute later . The prison cafeteria vibe isn't endearing at all, though. Queue up at the window (wrapping around the drink machine), pay and wait for your order to be called. 50s music was playing at a reasonable volume while the local news was on at a slightly louder volume. The 5 tables all needed to be cleaned, most had leftover/left behind packaging, some just needed to be wiped down. Both trash cans were full to the brim. The only napkins come in the bag. It appears a lot, probably a significant majority, of their business is drive-thru & carry-out. There are numerous signs that further degrade the dining experience vibe. The coneys were solid, no standouts but fine. $3.29 per pair. I asked for a cup for some water and got charged for a fountain drink. My total was $5.08 with tax. A cheap and filling lunch but not an experience I'd choose to repeat. (And I filled my cup on the way out since I'd paid for it.) You need to be buzzed in to the restroom, too. It may have actually been cleaner than the...
