Canine To Five — Local services in Detroit

We were thrilled when this new location opened up near Grosse Pointe! We have been bringing our dog to daycare at Eastside once a week for a couple months now and have had a wonderful experience. The staff are friendly, helpful, and most importantly, they give focused attention and care to my sweet but timid pittie mix Archie. The smaller location seems to equal more individual attention and a less stressful environment for my dog than when we took him to the main location in Ferndale. Now he whines like crazy every Wednesday morning because he knows it’s daycare day. He can’t wait to go play with his friends!

We have also been pleased with their grooming/spa services, which is super convenient to schedule during daycare. We did a five-night boarding stay in October and that was great as well.

If I could give them 10 stars, I would! Seeing my dog get the full body wiggle-way going as we approach the entrance is enough for me, it is such a relief to know with certainty that my dog is happy and cared for as I’m away at work. Receiving a report card at the end of his first day that detailed his experience was everything. My Duke is very timid and he appears to be the intimidator, but he’s a sweetheart, nervous, and a little scared of noises or fast movements. They recognize this immediately and decided to work with him and get him comfortable with being around other dogs and people for socialization. I greatly appreciate that and he will be returning on a routine basis.
