Good food with free delivery when available. Quality restaurant. I visited this place abt 3 months ago and I was well pleased with the food, prices and decor. Then i heard they had delivery. Well that was only available once. Other times I called it was never available. A few days ago I called to order a meal. I ordered Lamb yellow rice and plaintain to be delivered. First they said no delivery then came back to the phone and said yes. The lady on the phone could not remember my card numbers after reciting them to her over 7 times. She says "i cannot get it" then after 2 more times reeciting one pause two pause she got it. The worst of this day is after 2hrs waiting on delivery it never came. A man answered and said the delivery car was in an accident. LoL. I finally found someone to go pick up the food seeing as they already charged my card $16.00. When she got there the delivery vehicle was parked on the side of the bldg. No accident. 3 hrs had passed since the order. Well those pictures posted of what is Suppose to be. Lamb was all fat. Not edible and looked like a cow ankle. My plantains were over cooked and burnt. The yellow rice was cold and hard. After 3 hours of waiting. This meal went into the trash and i had to settle for chips and a soda from a gas station. I am so disappointed bc I like the different African cuisines. Tried this place on an limb and whew.... first off the food was okay. What I ordered was fried entirely too hard but still tasty HOWEVER I could’ve sworn I had an half eaten plantain on my plate I know a bite mark when I see it. The facility was very dirty...flies,and fruit flies were everywhere, ordering window looks like it has not been wiped since they’ve been open. The kitchen was unsanitary as well! Friends, family AND children were coming in going straight to the kitchen conversing with one another while the child stands on the table where they place the finished food!!! Customer service was ok although most times we had to get up and get him because he wasn’t paying attention as well as 2 others customers who were atleast waiting for acknowledgement for about 35-40 mins he even told one guy to be patient as he had been for that long. The people were friendly but the food wasn't as well seasoned as I'm use to African food being they were stingy with the sauce it wasn't nearly enough for the amount of fish or rice they give you, the rice needs to be seasoned, the onion sauce was good but not enough and the plantains had no taste and weren't sweet like I like them. I was charged $5 more for my red snapper with no warning and when questioned I was told it was because they go by the pound and they gave me a big piece and it was just a average piece and nowhere on the menu does it say you would be charged by the pound but it says $15 which is what I expected to pay not $20, so I felt like that was deceitful they need to state that on the menu, because of that I probably won't go back but I might try their lamb and give them one more chance, not sure yet.
