I made a phone order for a deluxe with hamburger added, which I was told would be $10 and some change. At this location, I was charged $13 and some change. I walked outside and opened it up to look at it in the car...it was just a regular hot and ready. I took it back in the young man insisted that I ordered a hot and ready and he had given me $15 change. I asked him to please have the drawer counted down (I spoke to the same man both times I had gone in), he just kept repeating that he gave me $15 but he offered to remake the order but I would have to pay $6 and some change more for it because the hot and ready, he claimed I had said I wanted, was less than what my call in order was.....so basically I could be refunded $5.30 of the $13 + change I already spent to have the hot and ready I did not want, or to spend a few more dollars to get what I had come for, making the 1 pizza cost me just over $20. Well, I was less happy with the thought of leaving with a +$13 hot and ready I did not want, than I was with the idea to pay double price for the pizza I actually want to bring home....so I had him remake the order I placed originally. I paid him "the difference". When it was done, I was in a bit of a rush because my children had recently came home from school and they were very hungry, so I grabbed the pizza and left. It wasn't busy at that time and I just figured it was what I had expected.....it didn't have the hamburger on it and the dough wasnt cooked all of the way.
I know for a fact that this man ripped me off. I only had $25 before I went to pick up the pizza but had just a few singles by the time I walked out.
I have had, and have whitnessed while I have been in their lobby at this location, an issue with orders being wrong or not cooked right, employees having attitude problems, and customers yelling and complaining about their prior experiences there. (The man that served me didn't have an attitude problem, he was just very adamant about handing me $15).
I have been there 4 different times in the last 3 years, and this most recent experience was enough that I will not be going back to this location again. I would suggest corporate send someone undercover (if you look like you are sent from corporate, you will stick out in Detroit, ijs) and unannounced (trust me) to stop in durring the dinner rush. A lot of valuable info can be gathered just by existing in that little lobby.
I hope my...
Read moreI swear, this has to be one of the worst pizza places on earth! Not because the food is horrible or anything, just inconsistency. They never answer the phone. You never know if they're open. You never know if they have enough staff. You never know if the pizza is hot or ready like they advertise. You never know if your pizza will even be cut right. Half the time I have to cut my pizza again once I get home. I just went there on a Thursday afternoon, a little before 2pm to try and get a Hot N Ready pizza. The guy at the register tells me 30-35 minutes! I started to ask why??? Then I said I don't even want to hear the excuse and walked out the door. Can't even get anything quick anymore. Guess it'll be frozen pizza from home for lunch today.
*UPDATE: It's currently Sunday, February 26th and I decided to walk on in and give them a try after walking to the store. I stood in a relatively long line for about only 5 minutes, not bad. The bad part was when the young lady told me how long it would be for a simple Hot N Ready pizza, 30 minutes?! The last few times I've been here I was told the exact same thing. That cannot be true! Seems like something they tell you to clear the line up real quick. Any who, I don't have all day so I decided to leave. Get it together folks, it's not rocket science! This location continues to be terrible with no end in sight for their horrible business practices!
UPDATE: December 2023 I have been here twice in a week, that's a bit much I know for this trash pizza. They had all types of folks in the lobby waiting on food and things seemed a bit unorganized judging from the guy at the counter going around asking everyone their order over again. I was in and out, sort of, because I just ordered a hot n ready. That thing was terrible, definitely not worth the price increase of those! The pizza was half cooked!!! I couldn't even eat it!!! Plus they never have change either! They either undercharge you or overcharge you depending on the day. Please close this place down like the rest of the restaurants around here. It would make us all have to go grocery...

The workers seem to be really trying. I think it's the management here. I have never, I mean NEVER ordered a pizza from this location without a problem, whether it was in person, pick up, OR delivery. They do not have anything hot or ready ever. Even if you try to be smart and order hours in advance, your order is guaranteed to not be ready no matter what time you come. If you order a pizza with half & half different toppings, I GUARANTEE they gon throw all the toppings across the entire pizza. I have come in and there was 6-7-8 DoorDashers waiting and waiting for their customers' pizzas. They take people's orders, let them wait forever, then when the person checks in for their order they shrug and say they have no idea what happened to the person's order and send them away!!! It's so crazy you have to laugh to keep from going off. I honestly don't know how this place (or the one down the street on Grand River in Rosedale Park area) is still in business. I have given them a few chances over the past 2 years because you expect places to maybe have bad days, plus the pandemic has affected restaurant businesses a lot...but no, it's just them 😬 It's not these kids' fault their manager does not care. I personally think it's the company that doesn't care, because if they did there is no way they would allow service this terrible. They (the company) loves to act like they love Detroit soooo much but this is how they see regular everyday Detroiters in the non-gentrified parts of town. Just have anybody tossing cold soggy pizzas at...
