Got the special Mega double Meat Tacos on the menu, Birra and Carnitas outstanding, only 12 Bucks for four that feeds 2 hungry folks OMG. Looking out the back of Marathon Refinery on border of Melvidale. Such delicious Authentic Mexican food family owned and run. Many Mexican Families stop daily for Mexican Breakfast ,Lunch and Dinner from the homeland. Truly a hidden Gem in Sw Detroit never ever mentioned by any media outlet, they only promote a few places that pay them or Foodies to post around the web. Although the prices have gone up a bit, I will ALWAYS recommend this place. It's an excellent dining experience -- come during breakfast hours and get the huevos rancheros or chilequiles (very inexpensive; they have great breakfast deals!!) you'll get delicious and authentic food and a great atmosphere.

The salsas are made in-house; when I used to lived a block away, we ate here or got carryout a couple times a week and would often see the servers wearing gloves to get the seeds and stuff from spicy peppers. My absolute FAVORITE is the fajitas! They give you the option of a lunch portion or dinner portion at all times, and the lunch portion is still HUGE.

The horchata water is surprisingly refreshing on a warm day, and absolutely delicious.

I can't even stress enough how much I love the food here. It's one of my favorite places to go, possibly #1 lol. And again, the service is great too-- everyone is polite...

This place is awesome. Granted, I am a sucker for tacos and a variety of flavors and this place had both. You have your choice of 3 different kinds of shells and 6 or more different kinds of meat for your taco. Mix and match whichever way you like. It is VERY well priced too. You get never ending chips and salsa which are super delicious and just the right amount of spicy. If that wasn't reason enough to check this place out then the wait staff surely will complete your decision. The nicest, sweetest wait staff and always there when you need them. With the chips and salsa I get two tacos and that is more than enough to fill me up. This runs me about $3.50. Amazing. Of course, I tip very well but it is still the cheapest lunch around and it just so happens to be the best tasting with super friendly staff. 5 stars all the way. Get there at 11 or don't...
