Motor City Inn & Suites — Hotel in Melvindale

This was the worst hotel for hospitality. They emotionally abused my husband from 1 am -6 am & would not let him back up in his room till I had to call & ask for a wellness check on his friend who was sleeping & not answering his phone to come down and get him! They would not let him go up & get any of his things or even try to knock on door! They made him sit in the lobby for hours without helping solve this issue .They also had a hotel security guy who carries a gun pull it out and try to intimidate my husband with. The police are being called and there will be an investigation that is going to happen. This is not how you treat people traveling from other countries to come watch a hockey game! And for most when comforted there was no one taking credit for this awful behaviour & not even a hotel credit back to card!! This is horrible & we will be sharing to every platform about this disgusting incident that happened last night/ this morning!!!! Manger on duty...

This place was just ok for me and here’s why, me and my husband wanted someplace relatively close to MGM (15 min drive) we splurged for the hot tub room, it was a very nice hot tub but had a large crack (cosmetic) on the outside as other reviewers mentioned the beds were very firm but I didn’t mind and the pillows were indeed small, they only had two regular sized pillows with two small like throw pillows, we only had a half roll of toilet paper in our room, we didn’t need more but that would have been lightweight embarrassing to leave my room and have to ask for more in the middle of the night. They only have one little bar of soap, and a “conditioning shampoo” and as one other reviewer stated, no hair dryer. I wish my husband wouldn’t but he likes to look under beds and inspect rooms and found small things like a blunt roach and some small garbage, but it’s a cheap hotel room in Detroit so …. 🤷🏼‍♀️ worked out good for...

Affordable price, quite location, room has microwave/mini-fridge, bedd big & I personally liked how firm it was. Towels provided but I brought my own towels/toilet paper/soap. ILa was a woman of her word & kept a room(smoking) for me at the quoted price. A Sunoco gas station/Happy pizza/Savvy sliders/A laundry mat are across the street. Mitch's bar & grill is next door (GREAT BAR FOOD) drinks and food are very affordable. Down Oakwood (walking distance) is a Liquor store & La Sale Mexican restaurant (with DELICIOUS & AFFORDABLE food) this motel is about 15 minute ride into the city. If your looking for a safe spot that's decent (the shower is hot with full pressure) this is a nice place. I WILL BE...
