Okay first and foremost when I call to put my order in I did not know there was new ownership. I had ordered the same thing I order every single time from this location and that's their corn beef salad. Anyone that's ever been to this location and have ever experienced their grilled chicken salad or their corned beef salad that's all I've gotten from them over the years. It wasn't until I ordered this specific salad and the young lady who was very nice and respectful didn't know really what I was talking about so I had to look at my phone to see if I was calling the wrong number. To make a long story short there was an error in terms of her trying to produce the same salad that I was getting from the old owners after realizing these were new owners. So there was a discrepancy the salad was not made right the first time but the owner introduced himself told me to come back in he didn't charge me he redid my whole order from scratch and did it fresh and I just got to say I got to show some love to him black owned you rarely see black on Coney Islands in Detroit and I have to say I'm proud of this guy he didn't exceptional job on my salad and I just wanted to show them some love. Please excuse typos I didn't read over I didn't check the errors because I'm using voice text. I noticed also that he patronize his people and I want to mention that my name is Valencia are Williams I wrote a book years ago called the hottest summer ever known then I wrote another book which is the part two to this one and I have another one called vindictive women. My books were on the best selling list when I saw that layout of all the celebrities that he did there that's really showing love to us as the people who has made it. Read moreI will never go inside of Lon's again after the experience that I had 2 days ago.
I went into Lon's 2 days ago and was charged for food that I did not receive.
I was told by the little arabic lady that is a cashier there that my card was declined and I later found out that my card was actually charged but I didn't receive the food.
I have spent the last 2 days corresponding with Venmo about getting my money back and I actually just received my money back on my card within the last 30 minutes or so.
I am NOT cool with people stealing my money and I am not cool with people treating me like dirt and acting like I am dumb enough to walk into a restaurant without money in my pocket.
The little arabic lady who works at Lon's in the mornings is very rude and very arrogant and she is a thief.
I could easily post the receipts here to prove that this chick stole from me but be a little insane to do since we are talking about a $5.50 charge and even I am NOT that petty.
I will NEVER walk into Lon's again and I would strongly encourage anyone else on here to steer clear of this restaurant and if you are going to frequent it, make sure that you count your change.

Read moreI frequent this Coney island on a regular basis. I will NEVER give them another dime after tonight. My son and his girlfriend went there and she ordered a chicken pita. When she opened it up at the house, there was a hair in it. They took it back and asked for a another one. Lena (cashier) refused and said it was no one that worked there with long hair. Mind u she had long hair, but she said she didn't make the food so it could not have been hers. Guess she has ESP. Vinney the cook who also said he is assistant Manager was rude and very arguementive. She said alot of people do that and want their money back but they advised them they just wanted a new sandwich. She still refused my son came home and told me what happened and I called up there she told me the same thing. When I asked if she wore a hair net she didn't even know what that was! She could barely speak English and I promise I will never give them another dime!!! Lately the service has been a steady decline, workers have no respect for the customers or this establishement.
