the macaroni was bland. the greens tasted awful. the ribs had a burnt taste to them. the chicken could've been seasoned more. the only thing that was ok was the potato salad. this was my first and last time ordering from here. I only gave it a try because a friend hyped this place up so much. this food was by far the worst "soul food/ bbq" I've had. They CANNOT cook AT ALL. I honestly dont know how and why this place is still in business. I can only assume that the people that eat from here really have no cooking skills whatsoever, and NEVER have tasted good food.

update You're in business because you're being patronized, not because you can cook. We've all seen kitchen nightmares and know that awful restaurants can remain open for years. Also, you ARENT a soul food restaurant according to your response, so MAYBE you should STOP selling soul food items because yall do NOT have the required skills to prepare BASIC soul food sides. Also, the barbecued rib itself was terrible, but I guess you missed that part of the review. If you want to taste how ribs are SUPPOSED to taste, then maybe you should order some from capers like I just did. I was hoping that you replied to me because I got time. I should've took pics of the food in the garbage because ANY person seeing an ENTIRE, barely touched dinner in the garbage would run very far from your "restaurant". I have been going to Nunns BBQ for some years now, I absolutely enjoy the food. My family now gets their BBQ from Nunns too.

Normally I get the same thing from Nunns but, yesterday (May 11, 2023) I decided to get a different side item. Nunns has a system that records your name, phone number and what you have ordered in the past.

Therefore, I called and asked the older lady who answered the phone what other side items they offer. And this extremely rude older lady said to me "you come here often don't you know." I was taken back from her rudeness and I said to her "I'm trying to spend my money with you, there's no reason to be rude." She then says she was joking however, as I mentioned to her, her tone never changed, very aggressive. This rude behavior continued and I ended up saying how I will give you a bad review on Google and she said "good." And she disconnected the call.

Needless to say I did not spend my hard earned money with this black owned and ran business.

Another typical black owned businesses with bad attitude. I am a black business owner who pride myself in customer service. I have seen this same lady being rude to customers in person. Sadly, their customer service does not match the taste of their food.

Nunns BBQ need to practice in better customer service if they want people to continue to patronize them. Or simply do not allow that older woman answer calls and take orders. This lady deserves the rating of a negative star,...

This use to be my go to spot for a bbq snack but a lot has changed over the years. The last 5 visits were a horrible experience for me. The bbq was burnt each time. I gave the benefit of the doubt thinking someone was just having a bad day, then after the next 3/4 visits I realized someone just do not care about the quality of the food anymore. I also had to deal with the worst attitudes imaginable @ a place of business & no matter what your going through personally there is No Excuse for a constant mad or irritated demeanor when it comes to customer service. I’m guessing that something changed as far as either ownership, management, or staffing but whatever the case, I would not recommend this restaurant to a dog, let alone a human being. 1 star is only because 0 was not an option. I now go to Bbq Central who is also black owned & has been in business 3 years. They’re quality of food is always the same which is very good. Although they’re pricier it’s worth it. Never had to deal with an attitude that wasn’t pleasant or just plain professional. The meat is bbq’d, still tender & never burnt!
