This is a decent restaurant/ bar. There is lots of seating. It's clean, lighting is dim but appropriate for the venue. The peppy waitress was attentive and pleasant, cheked on us the right amount of times. The menu offered the typical food you will find at restaurant/bar: some Mexican, burgers, salads, apps, dinners. Hubby got the mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings. He thought that burger was good and the onion rings were crisp and delicious. I got the nachos Supreme. They were comparable to nachos at most other places, although their beef also had chorizo in it. That made it slightly better than other places. Brother in law got the French dip sandwich and thought it was rather bland, as well the au jus. Sister also had the nachos, she proclaimed then the second best nachos in the Lansing area. Prices were moderate, hubby thought the$3.99 for his domestic draft beer was steep. It was in a mug with a handle instead of the usual pilsner but difference in ounces wasn't worth the higher price for the mug of beer.

The cute girl and I had been driving past this place for some time, and we finally made time to go in. We weren’t disappointed. Come a little closer, and let me tell you a little about it. Right off the top, we loved the old tavern-style feel of this place. It felt like a spot that has been around for a good long while—almost like a tavern you’d visit after fighting a dragon or something. I ordered the olive burger, which is pretty standard these days. I’ve heard a lot about this beauty of a burger, and it did its job in satisfying me. I particularly enjoyed the fries that came with it, which I, of course, dunked in ranch. The cutie had her usual fries and Philly cheesesteak. She enjoyed it but has indeed preferred others. The alcoholic drinks we ordered were well-made and tasted great too! Listen, folks, I’m keeping it kind of short today. I liked the food and loved the building, decor, and atmosphere. You can’t go wrong here, people! Five out of five!

We stopped at The Draft House on our way back home from the beach. It was a nice neighborhood pub. Our waitress took good care of us. We had the pickle fries which were delicious. They came hot and fresh with a little sweetness to them. We ordered burgers which were fantastic. Drank a delicious "tipsy mermaid" from their liquid encouragement menu which tasted like you were on a tropical island. My son even got a customized cherry coke that he enjoyed. When I am back in town, I'd have to visit again.

You walk in and seat yourself. We picked a big booth. I went to sit down and the seat cushion is cracked and starting to fall apart. It looks old and gross. Looking around, the lights on the wall above regular booths are covered in dust and cobwebs.

I asked for allergy information and was handed a bulky three ring binder. Not every item they serve is in it. The clam chowder for example.

As a vegan I do not eat dairy, eggs, meats, or seafood.

I thought about trying the Spicy Black Bean Burger. The patty has no eggs in it, but the gluten free bun does. Waitress said they could use lettuce instead of the bun. I chose the Turkey Orchard Salad, minus the turkey. I added black olives, tomato and onion. Mango Chardonnay dressing.

The food came out and the salad looked full of toppings. The dressing was in a to go cup with a lid. I found a few slices of carrots in the salad. I don't think those were supposed to come with it and I did not add them. The dressing has a mellow flavor and I could have used another cup of it.

The two other dishes we ordered were nachos and a hamburger. Each meal came with a plastic to go cup with a lid. The nachos is a large portion.

Each drink that came out had one or two plastic straws in it. I mention all the one time use plastic because this place is "green." On their website there is a paragraph about it. They should know plastic is not green. We had over a dozen plastic straws used tonight at our table alone. There is a video online showing a sea turtle with a plastic straw stuck in it's nose. It was pulled out with pliers and...

The interior is pretty dark. The music playing overhead is often morose, or contemporary country. The servers are super friendly. They're all the burgers are pretty good, but do not compare in any way to Olympic broil or Dagwood's. Fried pickles are a bonus! They have root beer on tap and it's pretty good. But, it's caffeinated. not that that's a problem, I just thought you should know. It can get pretty busy and noisy on weekend nights. It's kind of a local place. In the winter time it is freezing to death in this place.

Follow up on 9/3/2017...Went today, burgers well done when ordered med rare. No pop refills offered. Waited about half an hour or more for orders to be taken. Fries cold when served. Not busy at all. Server Claudia was sweating, talking so fast we couldn't understand her, would walk away talking and not wait for any of us to respond to her questions. Reminded me of when I used to use cocaine. Not kidding, her behavior and condition was a topic of conversation. Am looking forward to...
