Tim Hortons — Restaurant in DeWitt Charter Township

I've been temporarily located in the Dewitt area for the last year and a half, previously I lived in Nebraska and there were no Tim Horton's there. It sure has improved alot since I've been away.

Behind the scenes, I've been working 2 jobs, have been healing from a health condition and overcoming long covid. Since 2021, I personally have grieved the death of 2 colleagues, one by heart attack and one who took her own life, 2 of my dear friends one to cancer and one to heart attack and my dear cousin to stroke.

When I say, Tim Hortons gave me life most mornings, it really did. I come 3-5x a week and I have had over the last year at least 5 people who were in front of me, pay for my meal as an act of kindness. Just this morning 12/12 I was all out of sorts and left my debit card at home. I pulled up to the window and told the cashier I needed to cancel my order because I couldn't pay and she said "don't worry about it, I've got you covered." Honestly, you really made my day and I really appreciate you so much for hooking me up this morning! You're the best😊

Sadly, I am moving away soon. I'm going to miss this place so much and where im moving doesnt have a TH. I work so much that sometimes my Tim Hortons #6 w/ sausage, Large diet and a glazed donut is the only thing I'll get to eat that day. The buttery crossaints and perfectly crisp Diet Coke touches my very soul in the morning & motivates me to get out of bed to stop by for my usual.

I will miss seeing you all and even though you may not know it, you gave me something to look forward to when I woke up in the morning this year during a not so great time. Your kindness lifted me up and reminded me that the world is still good sometimes 😊 So thank you to the staff and community here. You all are a class...

I went to this location on monday February 26th, and it will be the last time. . The girl at the window was burnett, and relatively slim. After getting my coffee and donut around 8am, I was told I was all set by a guy with brown hair and a beard. After leaving I realized I had not been given my debit card back. I called the store that day, not even 2 hours later and was told it wasn’t there. The next day I called again to see if it turned up, and it did not. After checking my bank statement, I noticed there was a $5.91charge on my card from the Taco Bell across the street around 9:30am. I was in class at this time, so it could not have been me. This means that whatever employees they’ve hired, thinks it is acceptable to trick customers, take their card, and use their money to feed themselves. Needless to say I have canceled my card, and will file charges shortly. This is the single worst experience at any food service establishment I have EVER HAD.

Generally I understand that the actions of one person does not represent the morals of everyone. This place is the exception, it is not the first time they’ve messed up my order, or the orders of other people that frequent the store. My girlfriend works near by and all of her coworkers will mention how their orders are always wrong. The degree of uncoordination and lack of common sense here is ridiculous. This has driven me to not only avoid this location, but all others as well since there seems to be a drastic lack of training.

My husband and I come here frequently and order the most basic coffee drinks on the menu. I don't know if this a new requirement from management to help up-sell or what (I'm trying to give the employees the benefit of the doubt)...but the last few time we ordered, we each ordered a drink exactly how it appears on the menu. (We always order our drinks as is. No modifications or special requests). It usually isn't a problem...but on our most recent visit he Barista continued to give me at least 4 different options for the way the drink should be prepared. Not just "hot or cold," but different syrups, froths, flavors, types of milk, etc. I became overwhelmed and frustrated at one point because I just kept repeating that I just wanted the drink that's on their menu. I've ordered it dozens of times before. I read it to her exactly the way it was posted on the menu. Something very simple became complicated for no reason. Sure enough, I finally got my drink and it was some kind of frothy cappuccino (not bad, but definitely not what I ordered, and it was more expensive). If you have lots of time on your hands and modify your beverages a lot, I recommend this place. If you have someplace to be, like work, I recommend...
